George Walker

US Postal Service Retiree

Family and friends attended a visitation on Tuesday, April 30th in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for George F. Walker, who passed away peacefully at his home with family on Wednesday, April 24th following a long battle with lung disease. He was 72 years old. A Funeral Mass was celebrated following the visitation in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere and interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

George was born in Boston and raised in East Boston’s Eagle Hill neighborhood, one of four children. He was educated in his parish school, Sacred Heart Grammar School, where he also served as an “altar boy.” He was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1968.

George continued to further his education by attending Boston State College and Salem State College. George was a “Friend of Bill W” and he worked as a substance abuse counselor at the Meridian House in East Boston. George cared deeply and remained connected to the recovery community. He sponsored and helped many attain their own sobriety.

He married his love, Debra (Carino) on October 11, 1997, and they lived in Everett. He began a career for the United States Postal Service in 1982. His career spanned 26 years until retiring as a supervisor due to his failing health. George was revered at the Postal Service by many of his colleagues.

In his spare time, he had a great fascination and appreciation for all types of collectibles. He had a vast knowledge of many unique objects that interested him over many years.

He will be forever remembered as an intelligent, humble, and dedicated man to his family first, his friends from Bill W. and colleagues.

He was the beloved husband of 27 years of Debra A. (Carino) Walker of Everett, the loving stepfather of Tara E. DiFelice and her husband, Steven of W. Peabody; cherished grandfather of Lauren M. DiFelice; the treasured son of the late Mark T. Walker and M. Virginia (Hanlon) Walker and the dear brother of Frederick P. Walker of Billerica, Ginny Walker- Loughmiller of Squantum and John A. Walker of Medford. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. ?

Theresa O’Sullivan

She Will Be Remembered for Her Unshakeable Faith in God, Her Devotion to Her Family, and the Light She Exuded in the Lives of Many People Around the World

Theresa A. (Lombardi) O’Sullivan, 66, of Norwood, formerly of Chelsea and Jamaica Plain, died peacefully on Monday, April 22nd at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston in the care and presence of God and her devoted family and friends.

The adored daughter of the late Frances M. (Drago) Lombardi and Ralph J. Gregorio, she was the beloved wife of Michael J. O’Sullivan of Norwood, with whom she spent 36 beautiful years of marriage; the devoted and cherished mother of Michelle A. O’Sullivan and Michael L. O’Sullivan of Norwood; dear sister of Nina F. Lentz of Marblehead, Joseph A. Lombardi of Nahant and Robert A. Lombardi of Peabody. She was the best friend of Annie Blake of Worcester and treasured companion of her dog, Gizmo. Terri is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Terri will be honorably remembered for her unshakeable faith in God, her devotion to her family, and the light she exuded in the lives of many people around the world.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Church in Everett on April 29th? followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In remembrance, memorial contributions may be made to Beth Israel Lahey Health, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Office of Philanthropy, 529 Main Street, 4th Floor, Charlestown, MA 02129.
