The RHS Girls’ Indoor Track Team celebrated their championship and undefeated season with a banquet celebration at the VFW in Beachmont. The hall was bursting with the Patriots’ colors of red, white, and blue as Coach Racquel MacDonald-Ciambelli and her squad celebrated their record setting season. The season not only included an undefeated and GBL Championship season, it also included many broken school records and individual honors for the Lady Pats tracksters.
Coach MacDonald-Ciambelli awarded individual awards to Top fielder Ashley Chandler, Top runner Ashley Cabrera Rodriguez, Rookie of the Year Gemma Stamatopoulos, MVP/Top Scorer Liv Yuong and Coaches Awards Yara Belguendouz, Camilla Echeverri, Angelina Montoya Araque, Yasmin Riazi and Giselle Salvador. The girls were gifted with championship sweatshirts for their accomplishments.
In addition five school records were recognized including the Shot Put Relay, Indoor Long Jump, 4×200 Meter Relay, Weight Throw, and Distance Medley Relay) as well as GBL All Stars Ashley Chandler, Ashley Cabrera Rodriguez, Danni Hope Randall, Francoise Kodji, Gemma Stamatopoulos, Giselle Salvador, Hiba El Bzyouy, Jaliyah Manigo Olivia Rupp and Rania Hamdani.
Coach MacDonald-Ciambelli thanked the Parent Club and the generous donations of the community enabling them to have a celebration to honor their amazing season.
The Lady Pats look to continue their winning ways in the current outdoor track season.
