The next duo from our gym are twins, Anthony and Christian Shurko who are originally from Medford. The twins both recently won their division titles at this year’s Golden Gloves Boxing tournament in Lowell. The third set of brothers are Patrick and Marcklon Peirre. Patrick (26) is a Malden school teacher with five amateur fights. Marcklon punched his ticket to week five of the finals in this years Golden Gloves, but lost in a decision to Nyno Carey who fights out of Nonantum Boxing in Newton.

According to Joe Singer, “We’ve were blessed to have Coaches Alex & Andrew Rivera join our Revere Family last year when Somerville Boxing Club closed their doors for their final time. It’s been truly amazing having World Class Boxing Coaches like Alex Rivera, and professional Boxers, Rashidi Ellis, Jose Luis Castillo Jr, Greg Vendetti, & Travis Mazac Gambardella work with our Revere Boxing Club. I said it before and I will say it louder for those in the back, Revere will continue to move in one direction, and that’s forward.”
