Anthony “Chubby” Sardo
Founder of Mama Rosie’s Ravioli
Anthony “Chubby†Sardo, of Boxford, formerly of Revere, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
Born in the North End, he was the son of Charles Sardo and Rosina (Mama Rosie) Cammarata.
He moved to Revere and married his high school sweetheart, Nina Marchinko, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. They had four children, Nick and his wife, Kim, of Gloucester, Roseann and her husband, Robert Errico, of Boxford, Nina and her husband, Sam Edo, of Boxford, and the late Charles J. Sardo.
Mr. Sardo also leaves two sisters, RoRo Cattoggio and her husband, Joseph, of Revere, Connie Tagliamonte and her husband, Vincent, of Melrose, and a brother-in-law, Randy Stott, of Revere. He was also the brother of the late Philip (Chick) Sardo, Charlie Sardo, Jimmy Sardo, Domenic Sardo, Joseph Sardo, and LuLu Stott.
He also leaves six grandchildren, Anthony, Nikola, Christopher, Alexandra, Isabella, and Leonardo and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sardo was the founder of Mama Rosie’s Ravioli, established in 1974. The business is currently owned and operated by the Sardo family. He was also the owner of My Cousin’s Place Tavern in Cambridge and Sardo’s Beauty Salon in Malden.
Mr. Sardo was a court officer at Suffolk Superior Court for 27 years and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Sardo was known for his famous Fourth of July parties on Haith Street in Revere, where he lived for more than 60 years. He was a member of the ITAM Club in Revere for many years.
“Chubby†was a loving and adventurous man who enjoyed traveling with his wife to many destinations around the world. He took part in many activities during his travels.
He was also noted for his winemaking abilities and sharing it with his family, whom he loved dearly. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s of Assumption, Revere. Funeral arrangements are by Vazza Beechwood Funeral Home in Revere.

Ralph Petrillo, III
RHS graduate, Class of 1990
Ralph A. Petrillo III of Revere died on June 19. He was 43 years old.
Ralph served his country as a U.S. Marine from 1991 to 1993 and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1990.
He was the beloved father of Talia Petrillo, Aryana Petrillo and Kelsey Pryor; loving son of Ralph Jr. and Maureen Simone; dear brother of John Petrillo and Tayla Simone, all of Revere and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Anthony Vigliotta of Revere, formerly of East Boston, passed away June 16.

Anna L. Graziano of Revere died on June 21. She was 85 years old.
Born in Chelsea, she was the beloved wife of John V. Graziano of Revere; the devoted mother of Kathleen A. Graziano-Marco and her late husband, Edward F. of Winthrop, John V. Graziano Jr. and his wife, Tracy of Stoneham, Joanne L. Guthro and her husband, Gerald and Linda M. Hamilton and her husband, Mark, all of New Hampshire and Laura J. Driscoll and her husband, Michael of Amesbury; cherished grandmother of Michael, Valerie, Cornelios, John, David, Kristina, Thomas, Nicholas and Olivia. Kevin M. Manion
September 14, 1967 – June 15, 2015
Kevin M. Manion of Sanford, Maine, formerly of Revere, died Monday morning, June 15 in a car accident.
Kevin was born in Melrose, raised in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School.
Kevin played hockey and competed in motocross growing up. He loved to spend summers at Loon Pond in Acton, ME with his family; he was an avid snow-skier, water-skier and enjoyed cooking. He especially loved spending time with his beautiful daughter, Emily.
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Emily Jade Manion and her mother, Michele Angers; his parents Thelma and Mike Keefe of Salem, NH; his father Peter Flanagan of Vista, CA; sister, Kellie Serrecchia and her husband, Robert of Bedford, NH, brother, Sean Manion and his wife, Maria of Georgetown, MA, sister Kim Saturley and her husband, Chris of Sandown, NH, brother Dan Keefe and his wife, Erin of Salem, NH and brother, Steve Keefe of Salem, NH. He was the loving uncle to Alexa, Casey, Sean, Madison, Brandon, Joshua and Molly and was loved by many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mary Saunier
“The more you laugh,
the more you live†was her motto
Mrs. Mary (Wagner) Saunier, age 96, died on June 19th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was the wife of the late Daniel Saunier.
Born in Blackstone, MA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Stella Wagner. A resident of Chelsea for many years, Mrs. Saunier most recently had been living in North Revere. Mary’s motto “The more you laugh the more you live.†She was a member of the Chelsea Senior Center and loved knitting, crocheting, ceramics & her monthly visits to Foxwoods, but her passion was bingo & bocce.
 Mrs. Saunier is survived by her two daughters; Ann Marie French & her husband John, Linda Nadeau & her husband Allen all of Revere. She was the cherished Nana of 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & 1 great great grand daughter and was predeceased by her daughter Donna, 5 brothers & her best friend Josephine Wagner. She is survived by many nieces & nephews.

“Sister,†as she was known throughout her entire family, was 93 years old and was ‘our special angel.’ All her life, she maintained a child-like innocence. She was a former resident of Winthrop, Orient Heights, East Boston, Billerica and Lynnfield. After the death of her mom and dad, both of her brothers, Paul and Joseph, and their wives, Dolores and Rose, cared for and protected her gently and lovingly.
She was the beloved first child of Paul J. and Angelena “Angie†(Loschiuto) Federico, who have both passed; the cherished sister to Joseph P. Federico and his wife, Jimmie of Stone Mountain, Georgia with whom she made her home and the late Paul J. Federico, Jr. and his late wife, Rose (Crisafulli) Federico. John Bruno, Jr.
Proprietor of Several Boston Restaurants
John V. Bruno, Jr., a South Boston native and 14 year resident of Revere, died unexpectedly on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21 while at the Twin Rivers Resort in Rhode Island. He was 72 years old.
Born and raised in Somerville, he attended school there and was valedictorian of his class at Bunker Hill Community College. He lived in South Boston and Boston’s Back Bay for over 25 years before moving to Revere in 2001.
His entire working career was devoted to the food industry and he was the proprietor of several restaurants in Boston’s Back Bay as well as construction manager of the buildings he raised. He also served as a chef and waiter when needed.
He leaves his beloved wife of 39 years, Julia L. “Judy†(Gillespie) Bruno. He was the devoted father of Denise M. Bruno-Matthews of Lexington, Bonnie D. Bruno and her wife, Peggy L. Sheets of Nashua, NH, formerly of Somerville, Tanya J. Bruno-Kelly and her husband, Joseph G. of South Boston and John V. Bruno, III and his companion, Milgros “Millie†Pena of Revere. He was also the dear brother of : Marion Birch and her husband, Victor of Medford, Emily Gmitter and her husband, Michael, Michael Bruno and his wife, Diana, all of Lynn, Robert Reska and his wife, Vivi of Wakefield, Alice Dixon and her husband, Robert of Arlington, George Young of Wakefield, Marie Griffin of Medford and the late Lena Phelan and Dennis Bruno. He is also loingly surivved by three grandchilren: Sophia Rose and Oliia Rose Kelly and Justin M. Bruno; his brother in law David Flett of Burlington and by many nieces and nephews.

Beatrice Ann ‘Bea’ Esposito
20-year East Boston Central Catholic School cook and baker; known for her amazing cookies
Beatrice Ann ‘Bea’ (Giordano) Esposito passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 19 in Danvers. She was 71 years old.
Born on April 1, 1944 to Anthony and Antonetta Giordano. She married James Esposito in 1967 and together they raised their son Jimmie. Bea served as a cook and baker at East Boston Central Catholic School for over 20 years and was well known for her amazing cookies!
She was adored by all who met her. As a dedicated wife and mother, nothing was more important than the health and happiness of her family.
