Rita S. Priore
Retired Head of the RHS Language Department
All are welcome to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, December 16th at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere for Rita S. Priore, who was stricken on Tuesday, November 26th while attending a Thanksgiving event surrounded by her friends, colleagues and community and later passing at the CHA Everett Hospital. She was 94 years old. Interment will immediately follow the Mass with Rita being laid to rest with her parents in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Rita was born on February 14, 1930 to Joseph Priore and Settimia (Forte) Priore in Revere. She was one of two children and was raised and educated in Revere. Rita was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1952. Rita knew that her life long passion was education. She attended Boston University where she earned her A.B. in Romance Languages in 1956. In 1957 she began to earn her master’s in education at Boston University which she received in 1959.
Rita’s thirst for learning was immense. She went on to take evening courses at Harvard University earning certificates in French, German and Italian. French was her favorite.
Rita began her career at Revere High School in June of 1959, as a high school guidance counselor, then became the head of the language department. She taught French, Italian and English for the Revere students. Rita was a passionate woman for languages and had an incredible way with the students and how she taught, she had a career that spanned 40 years of truly dedicated service to the City of Revere and generations of students. She retired on June 30, 1999.
Rita was a very devoted and loving daughter to both of her parents, caring for them all of her life, especially in their later years when they became ill and infirm. She was a devoted parishioner and faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Revere. She was also devoted to her community and a member of the Revere Senior Center, A former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, she volunteered at community and several other events. Rita shared her time between Revere and time spent at her home on Cape Cod in Chatham. May the memories of Rita be our blessing, and we pray she will live on in our hearts forever.
The devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Settimia Priore and the dear sister of the late Ron Priore, she is survived by her sister-in-law, her nephew, her niece and their children. She is also lovingly survived by friends, colleagues, neighbors, and former students.

Natalie “Nellie” Lombardo
Truly the matriarch of her family who loved her unconditionally
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, December 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Natalie “Nellie” (Palladino) Lombardo, who died on Monday, December 9th at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere following a brief illness. She was 93 years old, soon to be 94. A Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, December 14th at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Nellie was born on December 16, 1930 in Chelsea to her late parents Rocco and Frances (Lopes) Palladino. Nellie was the last born of 15 children and now has closed the sibling chain.
She was raised and educated in Chelsea and attended Chelsea Schools. Nellie married her husband, Albert Lombardo on December 21, 1952. The couple moved to Revere where they began to raise and expand their family. Nellie was a devoted wife and mother, as well as a daughter and sister to her parents and 14 siblings.
Nellie later returned to the work force and was an Accounts Receivable Clerk for Northeastern Wall Coverings in South Boston. Her career spanned over 25 years.
Nellie’s heart was with her family. No matter what she did, her children and grandchildren were involved and always surrounded her with warmth and love.
Sunday dinners were an absolute must, and she was all about traditions of many kinds. Nellie loved to cook for her family for any reason. She cherished her life with her husband, and together they enjoyed life. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and she enjoyed getting her hair done every week, and always enjoyed listening to Italian music.
Her greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren; she cherished all of them immensely. Nellie was fiercely independent and a selfless person. She never wanted to burden her children in any way, instead she always wanted to be the one who helped everyone. She was truly the matriarch of her family, and they loved her unconditionally.
She was the beloved wife of 51 years to the late Albert L. Lombardo; loving mother of Joseph Lombardo and his wife, Elaine of Peabody, Donna Lombardo and her late husband, John Tobin of Revere, Jo-Ann Rossi and her husband, Ronald of N. Reading and Diane Forster and her husband, James Jr. of Winthrop; cherished grandmother of Joseph Lombardo and his wife, Kaylee, Lauren Lombardo, Amanda Kalavantis and her husband, Christos, Ronald Rossi, James Forster, III., Julie Forster and the late Stephanie Saulnier; treasured great-grandmother of Patrick, Cameron, Sean, Andrew, Nico, and Giovanna; dear sister of the late Grace Rooney, Sue Taylor, Mary Ciaramella, Annie Damiano, Minnie Belli, Tina Pulsciano, Jenny Kennedy, Rose Hoffman, Dominic, Michael, Rocco, Joseph, Louis, and Anthony Palladino. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Wendy Scali
Born and raised in Charlestown, she was proud to once be Miss Bunker Hill
Wendy Scali, 68, of Revere, formerly of Lynn and Charlestown, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 following a brief illness.
The cherished daughter of the late John and Helen Geezil, she was the beloved wife of 29 years to the late Paul B. Scali, loving mother of Paul J. Scali and his wife, Christina Scali of Lynnfield; caring sister of four brothers: Scott, David, John, and the late Mark. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Gennaro and Anthony.
Wendy was born and raised in Charlestown and was proud to once be Miss Bunker Hill. A beacon of loving warmth, creative flair and compassionate kindness, she carried a resilient spirit and a heart full of love that touched everyone she met.
The essence of Wendy’s life was encapsulated by her boundless love for her family and friends. As a mother, grandmother and friend, she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Nothing brought her more joy than the gleeful laughter of her grandchildren or the comforting presence of her dear friends.
Wendy’s love story with her late husband, Paul B. Scali, was a tale of shared dreams and adventures. Together, they enjoyed traveling and found tranquility at their lake house in East Wakefield, New Hampshire. Wendy’s life was a testament to resilience in the face of loss, as she continued to honor Paul’s memory by living her life to the fullest. Yet, in the hearts of those who knew her, Wendy’s spirit lives on, a glowing ember of loving warmth, creative zeal, compassionate kindness, and resilient strength.

Michael J. Mulligan, Sr.
Retired Master Electrician
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 17 at 11:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere for Michael J. Mulligan, Sr. who passed away with his wife, Pat by his side, on Thursday, December 5th at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, ME following a battle from multiple illnesses. He was 76 years old. Entombment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Columbarium in Everett.
Michael was a native of Revere. He was born on March 15th,1948 to his late parents, Edward C. Mulligan and Anna Mulligan. He was one of six children raised in Revere. He was educated in Revere Public Schools and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1966.
Michael pursued a career as an electrician, by becoming an apprentice electrician in the IBEW Local #103 Union. He worked his way up through the years and became a Master Electrician, retiring after 57 years of faithful and dedicated service.
Michael participated and worked on some of the biggest construction projects in Boston.
During this time, he married his best friend Pat (Kushmerek) on March 10, Michael and Pat moved to Billerica where they made their home and raised their three children. He was a loving and proud father and was very active with his family.
In later years, Michael retired, and he and Pat decided to travel the country and other places around the world. Michael was a man of his word and his faith. He enjoyed visiting many churches, shrines, and basilica’s all over. He was very proud to have met the pope at one point.
The couple later retired to Maine where Michael enjoyed riding his electric bike in many of the National Parks in Maine. Most recently, he and Pat were getting ready to move to Florida. Michael will forever be known as husband, dad, grandpa and friend.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Patricia A. (Kushmerek) Mulligan formerly of Billerica and Maine; the loving father of Michael J. Mulligan, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Methuen, Michele A. Mulligan of Chelmsford, and Melissa A. Murphy and her husband, Josh of Burlington; the cherished grandfather of Michael J. Mulligan, III of Methuen, Annabelle Rose Murphy and Grace Frances Murphy, both of Burlington; the dear brother of Patricia Livingston and her husband, Eldon of Billerica, Grace Vargas of Revere and her late husband, Harold “Bud” Vargas and the late Dr. Edward Mulligan, Maureen Moscow and Thomas Mulligan.
