Marie “Louise D”Amore

Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 13th  in the Immaculate Conception Church for Marie L. “Louise” (Mack) D’Amore, who died on Monday, October 9th at Brightview of North Andover. She was 96 years old. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Louise, as she was known by all who knew her, was born in New York City on February 10, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Flora (Arsenault) Mack and the oldest of six children. The family later left New York City and settled in Chelsea. She was educated in Chelsea Schools and was a graduate of St. Rose of Lima High School, Class of 1945.

Louise worked for several years before she married her husband, I. Andrew D’Amore and moved to Revere where together they began their family. Louise was a devoted wife and mother who provided a loving, safe home for her family. She was an active parent and attended all of her children’s events and an active member of her community as time from her family allowed. Her family was her everything and being with them is all that mattered to her, making memories.

She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late I. Andrew D’Amore; the loving mother of Cheryl Scheeler and her late husband, Robert Scheeler, David D’Amore, Paul D’Amore and his wife, Deborah Brown, Andrew S. D’Amore and his wife, Patrice Grant, and the late Theresa “Terry” D’Amore and her surviving husband, Paul Cheffi; the cherished grandmother of seven and great grandmother of eight; dear sister of Frank Mack and the late John Mack, Robert Mack, Lorraine Graziosi and Joan O’Neill. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

Marie Grace Sardella

She Will Truly Be Missed by All Who Knew Her

Marie Grace Sardella of Revere passed away on October 11 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Revere on July 21, 1936 to the late Benigno Casale and Margaret (Fuccillo), she was the beloved wife to her late first husband Alexander Caggiano and to her late second husband, Louis Sardella; devoted mother of Anthony Caggiano and Marie Caggiano, both of Revere; cherished grandmother of Anthony, Alexander, and Andrew Caggiano and Sami and Alexander Yasien; dear sister of Josephine Terrazzano and her husband, Pasquale of Revere and loving sister in law of David and Rita Nisco of Andover.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Her Funeral was held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Monday, October 16 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere at 12 noon.  Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.  For guest book, please visit www.buonfiglio.com

Louise “Dolly” DeRosa

Deeply Devoted to Her Parents, Her Love for Family Was Significant

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 19 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Louise A. “Dolly” DeRosa who died on Sunday, October 15th at Penacook Place in Haverhill following a long illness. She was 81 years old. A Funeral Mass will follow the visiting hours and will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Dolly was born in Revere on December 27, 1941 to the late Anthony C. and Louise M. (Maglione) DeRosa. She was one of three children, who were raised and educated in Revere. A graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1959, she furthered her education by attending Boston University.

Dolly worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Child Support Division for over 28 years. During this time, Dolly was deeply devoted to her parents and showed unwavering love by caring for them. Dolly was the consignment caregiver, making sure her parents wanted for nothing.

Dolly also found time to enjoy some of her hobbies such as playing tennis, which she was very good at. She also had a love for gardening and making the grounds at her home beautiful. Most of all, besides her parents, her love for family was significant and she cherished all her nieces and nephews.

She was the devoted and loving daughter of the late Anthony C. and Louise M. (Maglione) DeRosa, the cherished sister of Joan C. Raimo and her late husband, Michael Raimo and the late Philip A. DeRosa, Sr. and his surviving wife, Margaret DeRosa, all of Salem, NH; treasured aunt of Philip A. DeRosa, Jr. and his wife, Catherine of Hudson, NH, Mary Baker and her husband, Scott of Sandown, NH, Christine L. DeRosa and her husband, Robert Horan of Atkinson, NH, Meg Melo and her husband, Tony of Salem, NH; the adored grand aunt of Broady Wall, Elizabeth DeRosa, Antony DeRosa, Anthony Melo and Philip Melo.

Richard McDonald

Former Proprietor of Heights Donuts, Where Friendships Were Forged

Richard E. McDonald, born in Winthrop on May 4, 1943 and a long-time resident of East Boston and Revere, passed away peacefully on October 14.

Richard was a beloved figure in his community, known for his warm heart, love for family and passion for life.

Richard was the former proprietor of Heights Donuts, a place where friendships were forged and stories were shared over coffee and pastries. Beyond his dedication to his business, Richard had a deep affection for music, movies, horse racing and keno. He had an insatiable love for life’s simple pleasures, and these interests brought him joy throughout his journey.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Nina Elizabeth (Walsh) and his loving children: Linda Cohen and her husband, David of Winthrop and Richard McDonald and his wife, Jacqueline of Waltham. Richard was also a cherished brother to Rosemarie Murray. He leaves behind a legacy in his grandchildren: Kenneth McDonald, Cameron McDonald and his partner, Cayla and Isabella McDonald, as well as great-grandchildren, Madison and Hazel.

Richard was predeceased by his brothers, William McDonald, John McDonald and his surviving spouse, Mary, Anthony Ferragamo Jr. and his sister, Carolann Guarino. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he held dear.

Visiting hours will be held today, Wednesday, October 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston. A funeral service to honor Richard’s life will take place on Thursday, October 19th, at 10 a.m. at the same location. Richard will be laid to rest at Winthrop Cemetery, Belle Isle section.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Survivors by the Sea, 180 Lincoln St, Winthrop, MA, a cause that was close to Richard’s heart. Richard’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Richard “Dickie” Norris

Retired Maritime Engineer

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours today, Wednesday, October 18 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Richard E. “Dickie” Norris who died on Saturday, October 14th surrounded by his loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. A Funeral Mass will follow visiting hours in Blessed Mother of the Morning Star Parish – St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave., Revere at 12 Noon and entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery – Community Mausoleum, Malden.

Dickie was a native of Portland, Maine where he was born on December 26, 1940 to the late Hayden and Ellen (Poore) Norris. He was educated in Portland, Maine and after he graduated, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country during the Vietnam Era from 1961 to 1964 during which time he was awarded the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Antarctica Service Meda, and the Good Conduct Medal.

After being honorably discharged, he returned to Maine. He later met the love of his life, Joanne (Tango) and the couple married on September 6, 1964. They settled in Revere and began their family.

He was a very proud father of his three daughters and worked very hard to provide for his family. Dickie was a Maritime Engineer, working for the Boston Naval Shipyard in Charlestown for 15 years, then after it closed, he worked for Supship in South Boston for 30 years before retiring. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he would enjoy the outdoors. He loved boating, fishing and camping. Dickie was also a very good baker; he loved baking TuTu’s for his grandchildren and making delicious treats for them.

He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Joanne M. (Tango) Norris of Revere, loving father of Lisa M. Rogier of Revere and her former husband, Joseph Rogier of Lowell, Laurie A. Damico and her husband, David of Georgetown and Renee M. Norris – Davidson and her husband, Donald of Chelmsford; cherished grandfather of Gianna, David, Joseph, Christopher, Justin, Danielle and Brendon and adored great grandfather of Lily and Michael; dear brother of Dianne Burroughs and her husband, Mark of Wisconsin. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
