Lois E. Fucillo

Her family remained at the heart of everything she did

 Lois E. (Fasbender) Fucillo passed away on January 22nd at 95 years of age surrounded by her loving family.

Lois was born in Chelsea on April 24, 1929 to the late Ethel and Stephen Fasbender. Lois was the second oldest of five girls raised by her mother, Ethel and educated at Immaculate Conception in Revere. She married Joseph A. Fucillo on June 7, 1953, and together they built a loving home and family. Originally residing in East Boston, the couple later returned to Revere’s Beachmont section to be closer to family.

Lois was deeply devoted to her home and family, finding immense joy in motherhood. She instilled in her daughters the core values of kindness and compassion and expressed her love through the warmth of her home and the delicious Italian meals she lovingly prepared.

As her children grew older, Lois entered the workforce, bringing her impeccable sense of style to Filene’s in Boston. Her “passion for fashion”made this role a natural fit and a source of pride for her.

Another cherished chapter in Lois’s life began when she became a grandmother, earning the affectionate title of “Gram.” Her family remained at the heart of everything she did and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Lois lived an active and fulfilling life. In her earlier years she could be found walking Revere Beach with her sisters, she taught ceramics and became a skilled bowler. Later in life, she volunteered at polling stations in Revere during elections and participated in numerous activities at the Rosetti-Cowan Senior Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Fucillo; devoted mother of Karen

Fucillo and her late companion, Jimmy Palizzolo of Revere and the late Joanne Croce. She is also survived by her son-in-law Arthur Croce of Peabody; the cherished grandmother of Karen D’Amelio and her husband, Jonathan of Revere and Robert Croce and his wife, Allyssa of Georgetown; adored great-grandmother of Robbie, Joey, Olivia, Mikey, Kylie and Blake. Lois also leaves her sister, Joanne, and was predeceased by her sisters: Dorothy, Janice and Cheryl.

Family and friends attended Visiting Hours on Tuesday, January 28th in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere. Her funeral will begin from the funeral home today, Wednesday, January 29th at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.?

Alan S. Aloupis

January 27, 1960 – January 21, 2025

 Visiting Hours were held on Monday, January 27th in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals for Alan S. Aloupis who passed away following a long illness on January 21st at 64 years of age. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 28th in Saint George Greek Orthodox Church followed by interment in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.

The devoted son of Spiros and Helen (Foundas) Aloupis of Revere, he was the dear brother of Carol Aloupis and her husband, Gary Prochorchik and Carl S. Aloupis and his partner, Shirley Sarpi all of Nahant; the adored uncle of Carl S. Aloupis, Jr. and his wife, Margaret and their family of Shrewsbury, and Ashley E. Aloupis of Saugus.

Frances MacLennan

 She was a testament to the power of resilience and the beauty of a life well-lived

Frances (Peluso) MacLennan of Groveland, formerly of Revere, went home in peace to be with the lord on January 17, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born in Boston on February 21, 1935 to the late Joseph Peluso Sr, and Stella (Russo), Frances was a testament to the power of resilience and the beauty of a life well-lived.

Frances loved her home and family and was proud to be a homemaker. She worked at DeMaino’s in Revere for 30 years. She was an artist at heart with a passion for painting, and she brought her creativity to life on canvas, just as she did in her everyday interactions. Frances was also a lover of ballroom dancing, and her grace and elegance were always on display on the dance floor. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Frances had a special fondness for Italian cuisine, particularly stuffed artichokes and quahogs. Her Sunday afternoons were often spent at the horse races, a tradition she enjoyed with her parents.

She was the devoted mother of Ronald Gore Sr and his companion, Anita of Revere, Rebecca Gore-Coffman and her companion, Edward Warner of Peabody, John Gore Jr and his companion, Carrie LeBlanc Almadani of Chelsea, Frances “Mandy” Zambello and her husband, Joseph of Groveland, and the late Joseph Gore; dear sister of Joseph Peluso Jr, and his late wife, Linda of Billerica, and the late Salvatore Peluso, Charles Peluso and his surviving wife, Linda of Stow; cherished grandmother of Ronald Gore Jr and his wife, Jaime, Robert Daneault and his companion, Karen Tucker, Joseph Gore and his wife, Rebecca, Michael Gore, Tyler West, Melanie Draleau and her husband, Charles, John Gore III and his wife, Rommy, Daniel Gore and Amelia Zambello; adored grandmother of Nevaeh, Kaela, Gracie, Elliana, Aurora, and Zairen. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and her loving pets, Murphy, Maggiea and Benji.

Her unyielding faith as a devout Christian formed the cornerstone of her existence, and she found solace and inspiration in the teachings of Charles Stanley and Joel Osteen.

Frances had a penchant for classic movies. She was known for her fashion and sense of style. Always enjoying a trip to the nail and hair salon. Her fondness for the casino was not a pursuit of fortune but a celebration of life and the joyous unpredictability it brings.

A Visitation was held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home, 128 Revere St,, Revere on Tuesday, January 28 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Revere.
