Residents and City officials are jazzed up and ready to clean Revere this Saturday in the 3rd Annual RevereShines clean up event.
The citywide affair will take place on April 27th, with volunteers meeting at the American Legion Building on Broadway around 9 a.m.
Once gathered, volunteers will disburse to targeted areas around the city to pick up trash, clean the streets and beautify the parks.
The event will end at noon, and everyone is invited back to the American Legion Lawn for a BBQ and celebration.
Anyone who would like to volunteer can contact the Mayor’s Office at (781) 286-8111 or e-mail at [email protected].
On the same day, the MBTA will be offering a free Recycling Drop-off Center located on Ocean Avenue near the Wonderland T Station. The MBTA will be accepting all materials and electronics with the exception of glass, porcelain and building supplies.
The annual event looks to not only clean up the city, but also bring neighbors together and create a new mindset about Revere.
