RHS Boxing Students To Participate in King of the Ring in Lynn

Revere High Schools students sophomore Jamil Orchi and Junior Sebastian Orellana will participate in their first USA Boxing sanctioned event this Saturday. Jamil and Sebastian are members of the Revere High School Boxing Club which was started by Revere Police’s School Resource Officer Joe Singer. The event will take place on Saturday at 25 North Common Street in Lynn. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $35.00 and will be sold at the door.

This is a five day event of top amateur boxing with over 450 registered boxers from all over the country and also including Puerto Rico, Mexico, Ireland and Canada, who want to become The New England King Of the Ring Champion! The New England King Of The Ring Championship is a show put together to support the boxing talent of USA Boxing and after school  educational development programs. Juniors, Youth, and Elite CHAMPIONS will receive a King of the Ring IBF (International Boxing Federation) Amateur USA Boxing Championship Belt and a Gold Medal. The Elite Champions Will also Receive a WBC Limited Edition Medal. Pee-Wee, Bantam, & Intermediate CHAMPIONS will Receive a BIG Championship Trophy, a WBC Limited  Edition Medal, & a Limited Edition King Of The Ring NIKE Championship hoodie. Runner up will a receive a Second Place Trophy and Medal.

The event’s proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club Lynn and Private Jewels Boxing Club which is also sponsoring the event.
