Longtime business owner and former Revere resident
Matthew James Scibilia, 64, of Merrimack, NH passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2025 after a long illness with his loving wife by his side.
Matthew was a longtime business owner and resident of Revere who joins his parents, John and Dorothy, his brothers, John, Andrew and Harry, his sisters, Liza and Dorothy and his nephews, Andrew and Michael on the other side.
He leaves behind his wife, Bonnie (Bernadette Lambus) Scibilia, his daughter, Jacquelyn Scibilia of Lynn and his son, Matthew Scibilia, Jr. of Saugus. He also, leaves his bonus children: Bryan MacDonald and his wife, Catarina of Massachusetts and Bonnie MacDonald of Colorado; his brother, Joe Scibilia of Washington and many nieces and nephews.
Matthew loved to travel and take long drives to anywhere on the east coast, he most enjoyed a “get lost drive” — pick a direction and just see where it takes him. He made many new friends along the way. He loved talking to people and getting to know them. Matthew was a loving and devoted husband and friend and will be missed deeply.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere on his birthday, Saturday, August 22nd beginning at 2 p.m. A Memorial Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m.
