Revere City Councillor At-Large Marc Silvestri has received a significant endorsement from Ward 6 Councillor Richard J. Serino ahead of the November 7 general election. Councillor Serino’s endorsement is a testament to Silvestri’s commitment to serving the people of Revere and his proven track record as a dedicated leader.

“Not only has Councillor Silvestri served our nation valiantly and helped countless local veterans navigate and access the vast web of resources available to them, but he has brought his lived experiences to the City Council to speak up for and give a voice to vulnerable populations of our community who may not otherwise have had a voice on the Council. Having had the privilege of sitting next to Marc in the Council Chamber and working with him as a colleague for close to two years, I can attest that he has been an asset to the City Council and is a leader in our community who cares deeply about all of our residents, which is why I proudly support Marc and hope we, the residents of Revere, re-elect him this election cycle.”

In his response, Marc stated, “I’m honored to receive Councillor Serino’s endorsement and grateful for the friendship we’ve forged. When I began my first term, Ricky played a pivotal role in guiding me through the intricacies of council rules and procedures, and it has been a pleasure serving with my friend on my right these past two years.”

Silvestri and Serino’s relationship extends beyond professional collaboration; they share a friendship and a deep passion for supporting veterans. Their initial connection was established during Silvestri’s time at the Revere Veteran’s Office, where Serino often volunteers. “I was constantly moved by Ricky’s dedication to Revere’s veterans and veteran causes, always stepping up to volunteers and to help out.” Silvestri also acknowledged his friend and mentor’s forthcoming departure: “Councillor Serino is a great public servant and representative for the residents of ward six who will be missed, and I wish him success in his future endeavors.”

This endorsement adds to the growing list of supporters for Silvestri in his bid for re-election ahead of the November 7th general election, including State Senator Lydia Edwards, Revere Firefighters Local 926, Laborers Union Local 22, Painters & Allied Trades Local 25, Greater Boston Labor Council, Teamsters Local 25, IBEW Local 103, IBEW Local 2222, Floorcoverers Local 2168, Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589, Operating Engineers Local 4, Plumbers & Gasfitters Local 12, Elevator Constructors Local 4, and Plasters & Cement Masons Local #534.
