Carolyn Tucceri

Graduate of RHS, Class of 1961

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 28th in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 11 a.m. for Carolyn (Caccamesi) Tucceri, who died on Thursday, September 7th at the Park Avenue Health Center in Arlington, following a brief illness. She was 80 years old. Entombment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Columbarium, Everett.

Carolyn was born on Furness Street in Revere on May 13, 1943. She was raised in Revere where she was educated and graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1961. Carolyn married her husband, Warren in 1966 and they later moved to Cambridge where they resided for over 50 years. Carolyn, along with her husband, owned and operated a printing business and Carolyn herself became a master printer. She had a deep love for books and reading as well as a love for animals.

Carolyn and her husband had a home in Maine that they would often go to and that they enjoyed and treasured. Carolyn loved to talk on the telephone and was a great protector of stray animals, often taking them into her own home, when no other home could be found for them.

The beloved wife of 56 years to the late Warren H. Tucceri, who passed away in 2022, she was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Assunta “Sue” (Scifo) Caccamesi; the dear sister of Vincent Caccamesi and his wife, Jackie of Wilmington, Linda Snyder of Naples, Florida and her late husband, Robert L. Snyder and the late Charles Caccamesi. She is also lovingly survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends, as well as her most precious feline companion “Jake.”

Carolyn and Warren are back together again.

Richard “Dickie” Keegan

Graduate of RHS, Class of 1965 and Member of Beachmont VFW

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours today, Wednesday, September 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Vertuccio, Smith and Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach Street, Revere for Richard F (Dickie) Keegan who died peacefully on Wednesday September 20 at his home in Revere following a long illness. He was 76 years old. A funeral service will follow the visiting hours in the funeral home. Interment will be in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Dickie was born on March 9, 1947 in Boston. He was raised in Charlestown and Beachmont where he was educated. He was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1965. After high school, Dickie enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and proudly served his country until 1967. During his time in the Navy, he served on board the USS Dyess 880 as a boiler technician. He was honorably discharged, receiving the Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Medal. Dickie was most proud of his time serving his country and being in the United Staes Navy.

Following his return home to Revere, he became a member of the Beachmont VFW and worked as a merchant marine and served on ships including the USS Comfort until his health began to decline and he became disabled.  Dickie always stayed close to his family and friends and will be missed, but he is at peace and no longer ill.

The beloved son of the late Richard Keegan and Mary T (Sis) (Sullivan) Keegan, he is survived by many loving cousins, extended family and friends.

Ida C. Ordway

Her Children and Grandchildren Were Her Greatest Joy

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours today, Wednesday, September 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere, for Ida C. (Caccia) Ordway, who died on Saturday, September 23rd at her home in Reading in the loving presence and care of her family, following a declining illness. She was 94 years old. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, September 28th beginning at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St., Revere at 10 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Ida was born on March 31, 1929 in Boston to the late Giulio and Loretta (Cicchetti) Caccia. She was one of three children and was proudly raised in Boston’s West End. She was educated in Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of Girls High, Class of 1946. Ida married her husband, George Ordway in 1966 and the couple moved to Revere where together they raised their family.

Ida was a devoted mother and provided a loving home for her family. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Superintendent of Schools of the City of Revere for over 10 years before retiring. Ida also sold Spiritual Bouquets for Don Bosco from her home for 50 years.

She was a former lunch mother at the Immaculate Conception School, while her children attended. She was a faithful communicant of the Immaculate Conception Parish for over 50 years. Ida’s greatest joy was her children and grandchildren, whom she truly cherished more than anything else.

She was the beloved wife of 22 years of the late Ret. Revere Firefighter George A. Ordway; the loving mother of Robert F. Humes and his wife, Jaye of Lithia, FL, Karen P. Burdick of Reading and Maura E. Ciampi and her husband, Mike “Michael” of Wakefield; the cherished grandmother of Matthew George Ciampi “Her sweetheart” and Michelle Lynn Ciampi “Her baby”; the dear sister of the late Vincent G. Caccia and Rose M. Troiani; the treasured aunt of Lorene Hegner and her husband, Mark of Medford, Olivia Dube and her husband, Nate of Wilmington. She is also lovingly survived by her beloved cousins, Bobby, Christopher and Robert Caccia and her canine companion, “Ginger.”

Jennie Galletta

Retired Legal Secretary

Jennie N. Galletta, 92, lifelong Revere resident, passed away peacefully on September 20.

Jennie was born and raised in Revere and attended Revere Public Schools. After graduating from Revere High School, Jennie went on to have a long career as a legal secretary. Jennie was an avid walker who loved working in Boston and shopping in Filene’s Basement on her lunch hour. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed many trips to Mohegan Sun and her late afternoon Tia Maria cocktail with her sister-in-law. Mostly, Jennie enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta (Pugliares) Galletta, dear sister of the late Phillip, Domenic, Lindy, Thomas and Frank Galletta and she is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Visitation was held at The Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Tuesday, September 26th followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Joan Murdoch

Retired MGH Nurse

Joan H. (Despres) Murdoch of Revere passed away on September 15.

She was the loving mother to her six children: Ruth Babcock and her husband, Richard of Saugus, Bruce Murdoch of Revere, Robert “Bobby” Murdoch and his wife, Mary Alice of Revere, Tracy Shea and her husband, Kevin of Revere, Scott Murdoch of Rhode Island, Laurie Carlson and her husband, Steven of Ashland. Joan was the proud grandmother to her nine grandchildren: Nicholas, Vanessa and Felicia Cefalo, Michael and Philip DeBay, Nicole Murphy, Tanya, Derek and Briana Murdoch and Great grandmother to Morrisa, Julian and Avery Cefalo and Anthony Murdoch.

Joan was born on March 24, 1936,  the loving daughter to the late Helen (Lyman) and Leo Despres and her brother, the late Leo Despres. Born and raised in Chelsea, she attended St. Rose Catholic School. Joan also leaves behind many nieces, and nephews.

Prior to retirement ,Joan was a nurse at the Mass. General Hospital and was an avid volunteer. She enjoyed her role as Girl Scout Troop Leader and being an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge. Even though she was legally blind, she still enjoyed working in her gardens, knitting and crocheting blankets and sweaters for both family members and donated the blankets, hats and sweaters to local hospitals. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs.

Rosa Aresco

A Kind and Caring Person Who Will Never Be Forgotten

Rosa B. (Bisalti) Aresco, 78, of East Boston, passed away on September 20th.

She was born on December 20, 1944 in Augusta, Italy. Rosa came from Italy in 1963 with her husband, Angelo and settled on Harvard Street in East Boston.

Rosa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Angelo Aresco, her daughters, Vincenza Pardi and Anna Bonasoro. She was the mother of her late son, Vittorio M. Aresco. She also leaves her brothers Nino Bisalti and Salvatore Bisalti; her grandchildren, Joseph L. Pardi, Tanner St. Clair, Emily Bonasoro and Nicholas Bonasoro, sons in law, Lenny Bonasoro and the late Joseph J. Pardi; sister in law, Anna Pisaturo; along with her extended Aresco and Bisalti family consisting of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Rosa was a very kind and caring person who sacrificed a lot for her children, and then for her mother-in-law who she cared for for over 35 years until her passing in 2010.

Well Rosa’s passing was sudden; we can now reminisce on the time Rosa was with us. She loved to cook, watch movies, spend time with her beloved family and go to church weekly. She will be missed by everyone who knew her but will never be forgotten.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church on September 25th. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Donations may be made in Rosa’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. ?

Christian Alba

Revere SUDHI Office Who Dedicated Himself to This City’s Most Vulnerable

Christian L. Alba, 50, a lifelong Revere resident, passed away suddenly on September 23. Chris worked for the City of Revere’s Substance Use Disorder aand Homelessness Initiative Office (SUDHI); He dedicated himself to the city’s most vulnerable. In his spare time, Chis enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, cooking and collecting baseball cards, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

The beloved son of Karen Alba-Madden and her husband, Phil Madden of Revere, and the late Dennis Murphy and the beloved husband of Amy (Fike) Alba, he was the devoted father of Alyssa Alba, Robert Alba and Kalei Alba, all of Revere and cherished grandfather of Emma, Aliyah and Mason. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be in the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruna Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Thursday, September 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 29th in St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. (Everyone please go directly to the church.)

Brian Rebholz

Well Known & Loved Member of the Revere Community

Brian Rebholz, 79, a lifelong Revere resident, passed away peacefully on September 24.

Brian was a well known and loved member of the community. He worked many years for Revere Public Schools in the food service department.. Brian loved the beach and would often be seen riding his bike along the Boulevard and he would regularly ride from his home in the Point of Pines to Deer Island . Brian loved playing softball, he played for the Speakeasy team at Hill Park.

The beloved son of the late John and Anne (Azaraian) Rebholz and the devoted husband to the love of his life, Cheryl (Hurley), he was the loving father of Michael Rebholz of Florida and Christine Rebholz of Revere; cherished grandfather of Anthony DeFeo and his wife, Nikki of Peabody, Nicole DeFeo of Lynn and Zackery Rebholz of New Hampshire; great grandfather of Nico, Gino and Santino DeFeo; dear brother of the late Robert Rebholz and Lois Hussey.

Visiting hours will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Monday, October 2nd from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
