Unheeded Truth
Dear Editor:
is it narrow minded or bigoted when: One must take a certain plane flight to get from point A to point B? Traffic on highways requires drivers on the right to flow in the same direction? The “X†and “Y†chromosome determine biological gender? The Sun rises from East and sets West? Mathematically 2+3=5? The Earth’s gravity keeps us on the ground? Mass times acceleration equals force? Water seeks its own level? A compass needle always points north?
There are a lot of “one-way†rules in Nature, and even in orderly travel! Man-made laws and health requirements have “set rules†to keep people safe!
Why is it that when Almighty God determines the only way to Him is through His Beloved Son, it is labeled narrow minded and bigoted? Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father in Heaven except through Meâ€. John 14:6 “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. The Father did not send His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him would be saved.†John 3:16-17.
Jesus died for our sins, then rose from the dead. More than 500 witnesses saw Him alive! Jesus has authority to forgive sins and to give Eternal Life! It is not bigoted or narrowminded to believe this. Sadly, it’s an unheeded Truth by those who refuse God’s authority.
