City of Revere Announces the return of the Fall Festival on Broadway

On Saturday, Sept. 8, from noon to 6:00 p.m., the City of Revere Parks and Recreation Department will be bringing back last year’s popular Fall Festival on Broadway. Last year the event attracted thousands to the area, and once again we expect this community celebration to bring together our city for a day of fun for all ages.

The Fall Festival will feature activities for families, children, and residents of all ages, including street performers, local food and merchandise vendors, a beer garden, and a main stage with musicians and comedians. A segment of Broadway from Winthrop Avenue to the corner of Beach and Fenno Streets will be limited to pedestrian traffic only for the duration of the festival.

“We were so thrilled with the success and positive feedback of last year’s event,” said Mayor Brian Arrigo. “We hope to build on that and look forward to another day of fun that brings the whole community together.”

From noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 8, the Family Zone behind City Hall will be open, featuring inflatables, kids games, and family-friendly street performers. During this time, vendors will be set up along Broadway, featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, and specialty foods. Additionally, food trucks will be parked across from the American Legion.

From noon to 6:00 p.m., the main stage will be open near the American Legion featuring various entertainment acts, including the popular Beatles cover band, Ticket to Ride Additionally, there will be a beer garden in front of the American Legion for adults 21+ to enjoy beer from local breweries.

The City has worked collaboratively with the Chamber of Commerce to reach out to Broadway businesses to work with them on planning this festival. They have also begun soliciting sponsorships and recruiting vendors for the event.

Businesses interested in sponsoring the festival should contact the Parks and Recreation department, at 781-286-8190 or [email protected].

Interested vendors or volunteers can also contact the department, or visit www.revere.org/FallFestival2018 to download the vendor application form.
