Carmela LoGrasso

Of Everett, formerly of South Boston and the North End

Carmela (Saporito) LoGrasso of Everett, formerly of South Boston and the North End, died on October 14.

She was the beloved wife of Gaetano Lo Grasso with whom she shared 41 years of marriage; loving mother of Rocco LoGrasso and his wife, Marllina of Revere and Francesca Santostefano and her husband, Joseph of Middleton; dear sister of the late Salvatore Saporito and his wife, Antonietta of Somerville and their children; cherished grandmother of Sofia LoGrasso and Michael and Gaetano Santostefano.

Eleanor Russo

Canton Resident

Eleanor T. (Trupasso) Russo of Canton died on October 15 at New England Sinai Hospital.

Born in Everett, she was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School. She has lived in Canton for the last 27 years and previously lived in Winchester. She was a member of the Canton Catholic Women’s Club, Wampatuk Country Club, aormer member of the Winchester Women’s Sons of Italy and worked as a Sales Associate for Jordan Marsh for many years before retiring.

She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Sr.; mother of James J. Jr. and his wife, Joy of Mansfield; sister of Anthony Trupasso of N. Andover and the late Frank Trupasso, Elizabeth Renna, Ann Russell and Josephine Papp; grandmother of James W. of California, Michael J. and his wife, Courtney of Swampscott and Joseph P. and his wife, Amanda of California and is also survived by four great grandchildren and her former daughter in law Susan Poirier of Walpole.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton on Saturday morning at 10:30. Stephen D. Arciero of Orient Heights, East Boston, died on October 11.

He was the cherished son of Marianne (Lombardi) Arciero; dear brother of Richard Arciero and his wife, Diane, John Arciero and Lisa Arciero Bocchino and her husband, Michael, all of Boston; fond uncle of Danielle and Kristen Arciero and Michael and Victoria Lee Bocchino.

Of Maine, formerly of East Boston and Revere

Leanora (D’Ambrosio) Kretas, formerly of Revere and East Boston, died in Lebanon, ME following a brief illness on October 12. She was 88 years old.

She was a retiree of Mass. Eye & Ear Infirmary and Hart Caterers, a member of Revere Women of the Moose #1272 & AFL CIO-Local #55 Food & Beverage.

She was the wife of the late John Kretas; devoted mother of George A. Kretas and his wife, Maria of Wakefield,  Paul R. Kretas and his wife, Elaine of No. Berwick, ME and the late Major John M. Kretas, Special Forces-U.S. Army; dear sister of Phyllis Restiano and her husband, Donald “Rusty” of So. Berwick, ME and the late John, Gaetano “Guy,” Ralph D’Ambrosio, Mary Grasso and Philomena D’Ambrosio; cherished grandmother of George Kretas of Malden, Stephanie Strongosky and her husband, Jamie of Stoneham, John M. Kretas, Jr. of Florida, Laurie Kretas of Chandler, AZ, Amy Kretas and her husband, Richard Higgins of Huntington Beach, CA, Matthew Kretas and his wife, Melanie of Groton, Tara Ragucci and her husband, Louis of Wilmington and Christopher T. Kretas of Manhattan, NY. She is also lovingly survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jacy, Leah, Sullivan, Sarena, Ava, Steele, Natalie, Aiden, Mason, Gavin and Alexandra and by many nieces and nephews.

Of Winchester, formerly of East Boston

Ronald DiIeso of Winchester, formerly of East Boston, died on October 13.

He was 78 years old.

Born on Lubec St East Boston.  A former draftsman for Honeywell, a member of the Jenks Community Center and a US Army veteran, son of the late Donato and Mary  DiIeso, he was the beloved husband of Mary (D’Aloia); devoted father of Donna DiIeso and James Orsini; dear brother of Ann Lamberti of Winthrop, and the late Paul, James, George, Josephine Aceto and Gloria Trupasso and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Frances Sylvia Merlino of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, died on October 12.

She was the founder and owner of the “Ultimate Women’s Apparel” Store originally established in 1969 in Revere which later moved to Peabody.

She was the beloved companion of Donald Dickerman; former wife of the late Arnold Siegel and the late Anthony Merlino; devoted mother of Heather Joy Siegel-DeMuro and her husband, Theodore, and Fawn Merlino and her companion, Mark Ringenwald and the late Ted Siegel; dear sister of Shirley Tocman; loving grandmother of Erik Ringenwald, Kristin Siegel, Krystal Siegel and Alexander Siegel; loving great-grandmother of Trinity Cabrera and aunt of Alan and Howard Tocman.

Ersilia “Sadie” (Lombardi) Lynch of Everett died on October 7 at age 105.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ephraim; loving mother of the late Charles Giovino who is survived by his companion, Gladys Bachelder and her family and Irene Internoscia; brother of the late Pauline Venutti and the late Al, Antoinette and Charles Lombardi. Carol Ann (DeSisto) Genualdo of Revere died on October 12.

The cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Moschella) DeSisto, she was the beloved wife of Philip Genualdo Sr.; loving mother of Joseph Genualdo and his wife, Carolyn of Malden, Philip Genualdo Jr. and his wife, Louise of Peabody, Garry Genauldo and his husband, Alan Murray of Florida and Jodie Genualdo of Revere and her treasured canine companion, Suzie.  She was the cherished grandmother of Anthony, Bianca and Joei-Lynn; dear sister of Rita Krassnoff and her husband, Larry of Revere and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Salvatore “Sam” Dellaquilla, a lifelong resident of Revere, died on October 11.

He was the beloved son of the late Donato and Addolorada (Palumbo); devoted brother of Anna Dellaquilla of Revere and the late Camille Milano and Pat Dellaquilla and is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

Kendall Russell

Retired Building Superintendent

Kendall A. Russell, a lifelong resident of Revere, died on October 8 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 68 years old.

Born and raised Revere the son of the late Ernest and Hazel (Collar) Russell, he was a retired building superintendant.

Mr. Russell is survived by one brother, David Russell of Revere and many nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Carleton and William Russell, Ernestine Cook and Hazel Smith.

Longtime Member of Women of the Moose, Everett/Revere Chapter

Adaline E. (Rockwood) Higgins of Lexington, formerly of Everett, died on October 8.

A longtime member of The Women of the Moose, Everett/Revere Chapter, she was the beloved wife of the late Edward Higgins and Peter Doukakis; mother of Katherine Facenda and her husband, Stephen of Billerica and the late Peter Doukakis Jr.; grandmother of Lynette and Debra Facenda; stepmother of Edward, Paul, Mary, Rita, Deborah and the late Kenneth and longtime companion of the late Walter Russ.

Of Florida, Formerly of Revere

Elaine (Dakin) Evans of Edgewater, Florida, formerly of Revere, died on August 6. She was 64 years old.

Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Thomas “Dago” Dakin and the late Helen (Donovan) Dakin. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard “Lenny” Kelliher; loving mother of Dawn M. (Evans) Hood and her husband, Shane Hood of Edgewater, Florida and Brian J. Evans and his wife, Kirsten, of Wakefield; dear cousin of Marilyn (O’Callahan) Bater and the late Ellen O’Callahan; cherished grandmother of Zackery Hood and Benjamin Evans and is also lovingly survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held at The Immaculate Conception Church, Revere. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Shanelle Jean Abric

Revere School Bus Monitor

Shanelle Jean Abric of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died unexpectedly on October 7. She was 30 years old.

A graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 2000 and a bus monitor for the Revere School System, she was the beloved daughter of Louis P. Abric, IV of Revere and Alice P. Colantonio of Malden; cherished sister of Louis P. Abric, V, Philip L. Abric and Anthony F. Pirelli, all of Revere; adored granddaughter of Louis P. Abric, III and his wife, Joanne of Winthrop and the late Jeannette M. “Jean” Abric and the late Alice and John Colantonio; dear niece of Cheryl Mei of Lynn. She is also lovingly survived by her boyfriend, Paul Peters of Malden and her faithful canine companion, “Scooby Doo” and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Grace C. (Damiano) (Savini) DeInnocentis of Malden, a former long-time resident of the North End, died on October 9.

She was the devoted wife of the late Gaetano “Guy” Savini and Angelo DeInnocentis; mother of Sandra Robson of Revere, Stephanie Savini of Malden, and the late Joseph Savini, Sr.; adored grandmother of Joanna Savini and Joseph Savini, Jr. and beloved great-grandmother of Jonathan Carpenter, all of Carver and beloved sister of the late Lorraine D’Angelo.
