Track athletes compete in MSTCA Winter Festival

A large contingent of the Revere High girls indoor track team competed in the MSTCA Winter Festival Meet that was held Saturday at the Reggie Lewis track and athletic center.

Joanna Greene was the top Lady Patriot finisher, bringing home a medal for her sixth place effort in the two mile run in a time of 13:17.92.

Jessica Simpson was the next best Revere performer with an 18th place finish in the 600 meter run in a time of 1:53.23. Brittany Brown crossed the tape in 2:00.48 in the 600, good for 35th place.

Camden Sigouin was the top Lady Patriot in the 300 meter dash, taking 28th spot in 47.55. Teammates Ha Nguyen and Marilisa DiChiara also competed in that event, posting times of 49.76 and 52.99 respectively.

Five Lady Patriots competed in the 55 meter hurdles, led by Liz Nutile in 11.13. She was followed by Lindsay Gurska in 11.51, Sara Boukdad in 11.70, Leanne Rizzo in 12.13, and Jennifer Dandrow in 12.32.

Briana Scata took 21st spot in the shotput with a heave of 26-9.5, while Noelle Galli tossed the heavy ball 21-1.

Theresa Santiano McHatton sped to a 20th place finish in the 55 meter dash in 8.06, a time which left Theresa just .05 of a second from qualifying for the semifinals. Amanda Digitale dashed to a 28th place in 8.28.

The 4 x 200 relay team finished in 13th place in a time of 1:58.63 and the 4 x 400 relay quartet took 12th spot in a time of 4:38.51.
