Wonderland Race Track wired more than $750,000 in back taxes due into the city treasury late Wednesday afternoon.
This show of force by the track partners and owners has set them straight until the new year and the next round of taxes.
Many people believe that the Suffolk Downs people who signed an option agreement with the Wonderland owners a few months back put up the money in return for added rights with regard to the option.
The Wonderland crew has been having some cash flow problems of late, not to mention the park itself, which is nearly empty of people to the point where the future of the operation is in serious question.
