For the last 10 years, the Revere Beautification Committee (RBC) has been meeting on a monthly basis with the DCR to discuss Revere Beach. The collaboration has resulted in many improvements on the beach beginning with the planting of annual and perennial flowers in the various beds along the beach.
During this time, the RBC and DCR, as partners, have received state-funded “Matching Funds” grants to fund many improvements to the beach such as increasing the number of trash barrels along the beach, purchasing new drinking fountains, making needed repairs in the restrooms on the beach, bird proofing some of the pavilions, etc.
Concerns were voiced and possible solutions were discussed, complaints were made, and kudos were given. The end result was a better Revere Beach.
