Joseph Indresano

Local Insurance Agent

Joseph Indresano, a long time resident of Winthrop passed away after a long illness on November 22. He was 90 years old.

Born in Revere, he resided in Winthrop for most of his life. He worked in the insurance business and, at one time he was a partner in the Admiral Insurance Company of Lynn.

During World War II he enlisted in the US Army and saw action in the European Theatre.

He was the devoted husband of the late Leanora Repucci) and loving father of Stephen Indresano of Chelsea. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The funeral was from the Joseph R. Fraier Funeral Home on November 25 followed by interment at the Belle Isle Section of Winthrop Cemetery. The family has reuested that expressions of sympathy in Joe’s memory be donated to the Saint Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 3801-9908

Louis Frongillo

Watertown Arsenal Retiree

Louis J. Frongillo of Park Avenue, Revere passed away at the Whidden Hospital in Everett on November 21. He was 93 years old.

Born in East Boston, the beloved son of the late Grace (Vitolo) and Henry Frongillo, he was a resident of East Boston for many years. He was a 1941 graduate of East Boston High School and after graduation, he served in the Army during World War II in England, France and Germany from 1943 to 1946. He was a retired federal employee of the Watertown Arsenal. He was an avid photographer and a member of the Greater Lynn Camera Club. He was also a member of the ERMA Club in Everett, the First United Methodist Church of Everett, First United Parish of Everett and the Hedding Methodist Campground in Epping, New Hampshire where he loved to sing in the choir. His favorite hymns were, A Song of Peace, Lord of the Dance and On Eagle’s Wings.

He was the loving husband of Marion (Cushing) Reed-Frongillo and the beloved father of Paul Frongillo and his wife. Lynnette of Carver, Donna (Reed) and her husband, James Huntsman of Malden and the late David Frongillo; the cherished grandfather of Jamey, Jennifer, Craig, Matthew, Danny, Elise, Kristin and Todd. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.

His funeral servicewill be conducted from the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Wednesday, November 25 at 11 a.m. The interment will follow the service in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. For directions and the online guestbook, visit www.jfwardfuneralhome.com.

Ernest Caggiano

Had long association with Giuseppe Mazzini Lodge Sons of Italy- Revere

Ernest J. Caggiano of Chelsea passed away on November 17 at Wingate of Reading following a long illness.

Born and raised in East Boston, he attended Boston schools. The family moved to Revere during the 1930’s. In 1964, when Ernest married Virginia R.(Marotta), the couple moved to Chelsea, where they remained. Virginia passed away on October 17, 1996. Most of his working career was spent as a laborer for Local 22-Massachusetts Laborers’ Union. He spent a long association with the Giuseppe Mazzini Lodge Sons of Italy-Revere, where he had many many friends.

He was the cherished father of Karen M. Auffrey of Wakefield and Joyce A. Sicari of Wilmington and the adored grandfather of Thomas J. Auffrey, II of Wakefield. He also leaves his devoted sister, Jennie G. Mastascusa of Revere. He was the brother of the late Antonetta Caggiano, Teresa D’Amico, Angelina Caggiano, Julia Condaro, Mary Fronduto, Ralph J. Caggiano, Michael F. Caggiano and Joseph Caggiano. He is also lovingly survived by his sister-in-law, Viola Caggiano of East Boston and his brother-in-law, James D’Amico of Saugus and by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was the son of the late Aussilio & Carmella (Selvitella) Caggiano.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Remembrances may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Bay State Branch, 60 Walnut St.,, Wellesley Hills, MA 02491.

Hollie Deptula

Of Revere

Hollie (Minsky) Deptula of Revere died on November 11.

She was the beloved wife of Paul D. Deptula for 40 years; devoted mother of Brittany Deptula of Revere; loving daughter of Phyllis (Iscowitz) Minsky of Revere and the late Barry Minsky; dear sister in law of Nancy LeBlanc of Norwood; cherished aunt of Jeff, Sean, Ryan and Lauren and is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Maria Flynn

Of Revere

Maria L. (Cacciola) Flynn of Revere died on November 21.

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas M. Flynn; devoted mother of Daniel Flynn and his wife, Marion of Wakefield, Thomas Flynn and his wife, Maureen of Saugus, Joseph Flynn and his wife, Wendy of Saugus and Helene Gardiner and her husband, Peter of Saugus; cherished grandmother of 10; dear sister of the late Domenic Cacciola, Dominica Scibilia, Peter Cacciola, Santa Coppola and Biagio Cacciola. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons~Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Saturday, November 28 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
