The City of Revere has been chosen as the winner for small cities in the Google Get Your Business Online City Challenge – as announced officially last week.
Mayor Dan Rizzo and his staff were very excited upon the announcement, having spent a great deal of time getting local businesses to participate in the program.
The US Conference of Mayors selected three cities, and their mayors, as winners of Google’s Get Your Business Online City (GYBO) Challenge. Mayor Rizzo, and the Revere Get Your Business Online Team, won the small city category for leading a number of initiatives to help many small businesses in Revere get online.
On Weds., July 16, at 2 p.m. federal, state and local officials, together with community leaders, will gather to discuss the benefits of Google’s Get Your Business Online program and free website.
The event will be held in the Council Chambers.
