Paul Baglio

Of East Boston

Paul Baglio of East Boston died unexpectedly March 10 at the age of 56 years old.  He was the loving son of Jack & May Baglio.  Loving & devoted husband of Carol (Carlton) Baglio and devoted father of Robert & Jennifer. Dear brother of Jack, Jim, Tom and the late Terri (Baglio) Antonuccio.

Carol Ann Jones

Of Medford, formerly of Revere

Carol Ann (Toppi) Jones of Medford passed away peacefully on March 5. She was 69 years old.

She was born in Boston on June 6, 1944, the beloved daughter of William R. and Nancy C. (Napert) Toppi of Revere. She grew up in Revere, graduated from Revere High School in 1962 and entered the secretarial field until becoming a full time-at home wife and mother to her four children.

She was the loving mother of Robert M. Jones Jr., and his wife, Tammy of Medford, Maryann Saccheti of Medford, Christine Jones of Watertown and Cathleen Jones of Medford and the devoted grandmother of seven. She was the former wife of Robert Jones, Sr. and is also survived by her brother, John I. Toppi of Revere and her three sisters, Madeleine Sitton of Oklahoma, Sharon and her husband, Bill of Shelburne, NH and Susan Toppi of Revere. She was the grandmother of seven beautiful grandchildren and she also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers: William J. and Michael P. Toppi both of Lynn.

Her Funeral Service was heldon March 11 from St. Raphael’s Church, Medford. Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Aleesha DiPierro

Of Malden, formerly of Revere

Aleesha M. DiPierro of Malden, formerly of Revere, died on March 8. She was 28 years old.

She was the devoted mother of Jaydalena Ramos, Jayanna Faith Leone and Kayden DiPierro; loving daughter of Sherry Murray of Revere and Girolamo “Jerry” DiPierro of Winthrop; beloved granddaughter of Annmarie and William Kulda of Revere and Sabino and Garciela DiPierro of Winthrop; dear sister of Leonard and Shayne Cambria, both of Revere and is also survived by many cherished aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will honor Aleesha’s life by gathering on Thursday, March 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston and again at 8:30 Friday morning before leaving in procession to the Sacred Heart Church Brooks Street for a Funeral Mass in celebration of Aleesha’ life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Aleesha being laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery. Michael Moschella

Of Revere

Michael Moschella of Revere died on March 8.

A veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of the late Jennie (Maglio); devoted father of Linda Palmer-Griffin of Salem, NH and her late husband, Edward Jr., Michael and his wife, Mary of Texas, Diane Festa and her husband, James and John and his wife, Barbara of Peabody; dear brother of Bonnie Squibb of Revere, Gerard and his wife, Ann of Peabody, Anthony and his wife, Ann of Ipswich and the late Jean Rizzo, Joseph, Rita Ferullo, Rose Brown and Louise Russo. He is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons – Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere today, Wednesday, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn.

Louis Dondero, Jr.

Revere Educator

Louis P. Dondero, Jr. of Revere died on March 2 surrounded by his family.

Louis was a graduate of Revere High School. He received a B.S. from Presbyterian College in South Carolina and an M.S. in Education from Suffolk University. He was an educator in the Revere School System for many years before retiring in 1991. He also served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army.

Born in Chelsea, the son of the late Louis P and Adeline (DiPesa), he was the beloved husband for 53 years of Bernice (Hurley); devoted father of Lisa Brengola and her husband,, Andrew of Lynnfield; cherished grandfather of Alissa Louise; dear brother of Thelma DeLeo of Winchester; son of the late Louis and Adeline (DiPesa) and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Lucy A. (Villanucci) Grimaldi of Revere, formerly of Lynn, died on March 6. She was 85 years old.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Silvia (D’Iacovo) and Tony Villanucci; loving wife of the late Corrado Grimaldi; cherished mother of Cody Grimaldi, Sr. and his wife, Debbie, Rick Grimaldi and his wife, Sandy, Joseph Grimaldi, and the late Victor Grimaldi; adored grandmother of Cody, Justin, Stephanie, Joyel, and Victor; great-grandmother of Zeta, Zach, Issac, Maggie, Jillian and Nicholas; loving sister of Mary Powers and her husband, Jim, Benny Villanucci and his wife, Rose and the late Alfred Villanucci and his wife, Connie and Anna Dimaggio and her husband, Anthony. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David Roy, Jr.

Of Revere

David Roy, Jr. of Revere passed away on February 14.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was the former husband of Patricia (Hurd) Roy; loving father of David Roy III of Melrose, Wilfred Roy of Maine, Sherrill Santos of Chelsea, Pamela Roy of New Hampshire and Jennifer Couch of Revere; dear brother of the late Robert J. Roy and Margaret Letourneau; cherished grandfather of Tyler, Michelina, David, Brittany and Tiffany.

Henry Olsen

Retired Revere Fire Captain; Member of Beachmont VFW Post 6712

Henry L. Olsen died on March 4 at the Lighthouse Nursing Center of Revere following a long illness. He was 88 years old.

Born in Lynn, Mr. Olsen was a life long resient of Revere’s Oak Island Section. He was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1943, joined the US Navy in August of 1943 and served until April 19, 1946.

In 1954 he began a 34 year career with the Revere Fire Department retiring as Captain in 1988. Henry was a long time member of VFW Post 6712 of Beachmont and a member of the National Association of DAV.

He leaves his beloved wife of 60 years, Dorothy M. (Jacobs) Olsen and was the devoted father of: James G. Olsen and his wife, Joyce of Newburyport, Karen S. DeVincentis and her husband, Carl of Rowley, Susan M. Olsen of Revere and Dr. Nancy R. Olsen-Waldron, PhD and her partner, John O’Brien of Winthrop; the cherished grandfather of: Randolph E. Waldron, Jr. of Winthrop, James G. Olsen, Jr. of Newburyport, Lawrence J. Scaglione, IV of Munson, MA and Michelle C. DeVincentis of Rowley; the dear brother of: Arthur S. Olsen and his wife, Florence, Eunice “Bunny” King, Helen Greene and her husband, John, Virginia “Ginger” Tuite and her husband, Thomas, all of Revere, Sigrid “Dolly” Vazza of Saugus and the late Ralph A. Olsen, Leonard O. Olsen, Eleanor Sullivan, Lillian Glass-Uhr and Rudolph Olsen. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

John DiBattista

Former Machinist for Mead Packing, volunteer and active member at St. Anthony’s Church

John DiBattista of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on March 4.

Born in East Boston, the son of the late Giuseppe and Michelina (Viscione), he married and moved to Revere in 1950. He was a former machinist for Mead Packing Company in Lawrence, John was an active member of St Anthony’s Church, volunteering for bingo as well as St, Anthony’s Band.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marie G. (Cecere); devoted father of John R. DiBattista of Revere and Doreen M. Pambianchi and her husband, Jimmy of Saugus; dear brother of Fannie Salvaggio of Southborough, Julia Piazza of Bolton and the late Helen Fabello, Mae Casaletto, Frank DiBattista and Liberato DiBattista. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: John Pambianchi and his wife, Karen of Merrimac and Jamie Murphy and her husband, Scott of Wakefield.
