Attoui, Woodard Power Revere to 27–0 Win Over Malden

The improving Revere High School football excelled in all phases of the game in a strong 27-0 victory over Malden.

Abbas Attoui had his second three-touchdown performance of the season, rushing for 154 yards to lead the Revere offense. Attoui was named a Boston Globe ‘Player of the Week’ in recognition of his outstanding performance.

Running back Giovanni Woodard also helped boost the offense with 101 yards rushing and a touchdown.

“I’m very happy with the way we played on offense and defense,” said head coach Lou Cicatelli. “Getting healthy has definitely helped us.”

Quarterback Carlos Rizo showed a lot of poise in the passing game, according to Cicatelli. “He managed the game very well. When Carlos is on and we get the play-action going, it opens up the running game, and that was a big plus for the team.”

Felipe Maia booted three PATs in the game as he continued to showcase his placekicking talents.

Senior linebacker Victor Andrade (10 tackles), Medhi Bellemsieh, Walter Rodriguez, and Isaiah Decrosta were the standouts for Revere’s defense.

Revere (2-6) plays at Beverly Saturday at 11 a.m.
