The Hanna Awards Committee of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security has acknowledged the heroism and valor shown by two Revere Police officers following a homicide in Revere last year.
Lt. John Azzari and Officer James Rose will be presented with the Medal of Valor and the Medal of Honor respectively during ceremonies at the State House to be presided over by Governor Deval Patrick on November 2 at 10:00 a.m.
These awards are a proper and fitting thank you to two officers who put their lives on the line while subduing a man who had committed a homicide in this city. They set an example for all their colleagues and they have brought tremendous pride to the Revere Police Department.
