Mayor Patrick Keefe hosts summer soiree and campaign fundraiser

A large crowd representing all neighborhoods of the city attended Mayor Patrick Keefe’s Summer Soiree reception July 30 at Dryft, 500 Ocean Avenue.

First Lady Jennifer Keefe delivered the opening remarks, introducing the many city councillors and school committee members in attendance. Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden also attended the event. Rep. Jessica Giannino, Rep. Jeff Turco, and Sen. Lydia Edwards offered their support. Longtime Ward 3 Councillor Arthur Guinasso, who served on the Council with the mayor, was also part of the tremendous turnout for the mayor.

Everett City Councillors Katy Rogers and Anthony DiPierro and former Councilor Michael McLaughlin brought the greetings from Revere’s neighboring community.

“Thank you everyone for coming,” said Mrs. Keefe before introducing her husband.

Mayor Keefe called the annual summer event a time “to celebrate Revere.”

Keefe began his remarks by quoting the late Oscar-winning Irish musician Glen Hansard, who often performed with Pearl Jam’s lead singer Eddie Vedder. Mr. Hansard died on July 29, 2026, in a motorcycle accident.

“If you don’t mark your successes, the day your ship comes in it could be just another day in the office, and there’s no poetry in that,” quoted Keefe. “Glen Hansard understood what the quality of living a life is but also celebrating the victories you have and celebrating your successes. So, tonight is about celebrating the community of Revere, each other, your families, your friends. I’m so thankful to have my family here with me tonight and have to this large group of friends.”

Keefe highlighted some of the many successes of his administration, notably in public safety.

“We have the most sworn officers, police and fire, that we’ve had in over two decades,” said Keefe, drawing applause from the audience.

Keefe also spoke of Revere’s excellent economic condition and its physical infrastructure.

“Most importantly, I’m here to celebrate Revere, from Beachmont to West Revere, Salem Street to the Revere Beach, we have the best city in the Commonwealth and I’m thankful to be your mayor and we’re going to keep going,” said Keefe.

Keefe concluded his remarks by thanking his family in attendance including his wife, Jennifer, son Patrick III, daughter Adrianna, his father, “Big Pat” Patrick Keefe Sr., “my brother-in-law, Brian, my nephew, Gennaro, and my mother-in-law, Donna.”
