Sacco-Maguire Honored for Years of Service to Revere Beach, City

Mayor Patrick Keefe proclaimed Saturday, July 20 as Adrienne Sacco-Maguire Day in Revere, recognizing her outstanding service to Revere, her efforts in helping to form the Revere Beach Partnership, and her continuing contributions to the success of the International Sand Sculpting Festival on Revere Beach that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

recognition of her outstanding contributions to the International Sand Sculpting Festival
for the past two decades. Mayor Patrick Keefe also proclaimed Saturday as “Adrienne

Proclamation Honoring Adrienne Sacco-Maguire

WHEREAS, Adrienne Sacco-Maguire has been an active community member and a dedicated resident of Revere which she has called home for her entire life, and;

WHEREAS, Adrienne Sacco-Maguire, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication as a nurse in the Revere Public Schools, as the Emergency Preparedness Manager at the Board of Health where she played a pivotal role during the COVID pandemic, and as the Director of Parks and Recreation, providing safe, healthy, and fun activities for the city’s youth, thereby fostering a vibrant community spirit and enhancing the quality of life for all residents, and;

WHEREAS, Adrienne Sacco-Maguire actively participated in the Revere Beach Charette organized by Mayor Tom Ambrosino in 2001, contributing valuable ideas and insights that helped develop strategies for enhancing and activating the beautiful 3-mile crescent of Revere Beach, and;

WHEREAS, Adrienne Sacco-Maguire, helped form the Revere Beach Partnership, and has served over the years with distinction as a director, and past president and current vice president of this non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing America’s first public beach for the enjoyment of all, and;

WHEREAS, Adrienne Sacco-Maguire was instrumental in creating the origins of the Revere Beach Partnership’s International Sand Sculpting Festival now celebrating its 20 year and which has become the region’s marque event drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to marvel at the artistry of its world-class sculptors.

Now, therefore, be it proclaimed that the City of Revere recognize and honor Adrienne Sacco-Maguire for her unwavering service, her dedication and exceptional contributions to the city of Revere, and her pivotal role at the Revere Beach Partnership and its International Sand Sculpting Festival.

Be it further proclaimed by Mayor Patrick Keefe Jr. with wishes for continued good health and happiness for all the days to come, that tomorrow, Saturday, July 20, 2024, be celebrated as:
