Unable to contain Plymouth South’s standout running backs Casious Johnson and Gio Lynch-Ruberio, the Revere High football team fell, 35-7, in a non-league matchup Friday night in Plymouth.
The two players each rushed for more than 100 yards in the game and accounted for all five touchdowns.
Revere was facing its second ranked opponent in as many weeks, having been defeated by No. 17 Peabody in its home opener.
Revere (0-2) will look to get into the win column in its Greater Boston League opener against Medford. The Mustangs defeated Brookline, 19-7, in their season opener before falling to Cambridge Rindge and Latin, 26-7, last Friday night.
