Marilyn Jean Buonfiglio Clarke

Of Melrose, formerly of Revere

Marilyn Jean (Flinkfelt) Buonfiglio Clarke, of Melrose and formerly of Revere and Boston, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Thursday, December 23 at age 85.

Marilyn was born on February 24, 1936 to the late Hugh Mansfield and Jeannie (Cunningham) Flinkfelt. Tragically, when Marilyn was only three-years old, her mother passed away. Marilyn graduated Revere High School in 1954,  married her high school sweetheart, Richard Buonfiglio,  and had two beautiful daughters. Divorced in 1970, Marilyn became a single mother and went to secretarial school in order to support herself and her daughters.

Marilyn was an officer in the Melrose Order of Eastern Star and on the Advisory Board of the Rainbow Assembly #7. She married Wallace Clarke in 1978. They lived on Beacon Hill and in Marblehead, but later divorced.

A life-long Episcopalian, Marilyn was devoted to her faith and church. She was a member of St. Paul’s in Beachmont (Revere) and later Trinity Church in the City of Boston for over 40 years where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Usher, member of the Robert Treat Paine Society, Lay Reade, and organized AIDS Healing Servicesfor several years.

Marilyn enjoyed visits with her grandchildren, watching MSNBC, annual cruises from Portland to Nova Scotia aboard the Prince of Fundy, vacationing in Rockport, and spending time by the ocean. She relished her Scottish ancestry and enjoyed many trips to New Hampshire for the Highland Games. A sports fan, Marilyn watched all sports teams ​but had an affinity for Tom Brady, Tiger Woods, and Tim Wakefield.

Marilyn was the beloved mother of Laura Jeanne Fitzpatrick and her husband, Richard and Lisa Jeanne Oosterman and her husband, James, all of Melrose and the cherished grandmother of Sarah Jeanne Fitzpatrick and Sean Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by her brother, John F. Flinkfelt of New Hampshire.

Michelina Martignetti

Longtime Program Coordinator for Mass. Division of Professional Licensing

Michelina Martignetti passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her

family on January 14 at the age of 62.

Michelina spent over 33 years working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Program Coordinator for the Division of Professional Licensing.

Born in Montefalcione, Italy, Michelina was a longtime resident of Revere. She was the beloved daughter of Antonio and the late Adelaide Martignetti of Revere; dear sister of Maria Swan and her husband, Michael of Revere and Alessandro Martignetti and his wife, Paula of Revere.  She was affectionately known as “Mimi” to her cherished nieces and nephews: Melissa Swan and her children, Antonio and Sophie of Revere, Brandon Carlson of Seneca Falls, New York and Elijah Swan and his wife, Maria of Saugus. Michelina is also survived by her uncle, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Michelina’s life will be held on Saturday, January 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon at Vazza’s “Beachwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 12 Noon in our Chapel of the Resurrection. Burial is private and will take place at a later date at Holy Cross Mausoleum.

Alfred “Al” Ciampi Sr.

Graduate of RHS Class of 1971 and Manager at Speedy Wee Wash Laundry on Broadway

Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, January 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere for Alfred J. “Al” Ciampi, Sr., 68, who died on Sunday, January 16 at his home in Methuen surrounded by the love and presence of his family. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, January 21 at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 11 a.m. and immediately followed with interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Please wear face masks throughout the services.

Al was a Revere native. He was educated in Revere Public Schools and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1971. Al began driving 10-Wheeler trucks for a living and he worked for many years for Joe Fern Trucking. He later left to work at Speedy Wee Wash Laundry on Broadway in Revere for over 10 years. Al had a great personality and a great sense of humor, everyone that came into the store became a friend. He then went to work at Life Care Center in Stoneham as an Activities Director. His caring ways and fun-loving personality made sure that the residents would enjoy whatever activity he had planned for them.

Al married the love of his life, Carol Nickerson, on July 14, 1979. They remained in Revere where they made their life together and started their family.

Al was a dedicated husband and father. First and foremost, Al was a family man, and his persona didn’t change at home. He was also a â€œD.J.”, typically playing at the Revere Elks for numerous functions. Al also enjoyed his hobby of collecting miniature construction equipment of all sorts and building a largescaled construction sites, similar to train enthusiasts. He would spend hours making the scenery life like with extensive details.

He was warm and loving and always making people laugh. He treasured his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is the devoted husband of 43 years to Carol A. (Nickerson) Ciampi of Methuen, formerly of Revere; loving father of Stacey L. Bowe and her husband, Clarence of Seabrook, NH, A.J. Ciampi, Jr. and his wife, Dena of Methuen and Jarred M. Ciampi and Toni Robert of Wakefield; cherished Papa of Alexa, Anthony, Vincent, Baylee and Domenic; dear brother of Carol Jolly and her husband, Michael of Rocky Mount, NC, Clare Urbanowicz and her husband, Ralph of Hanson, Camille Beatrice and her husband, John of Beverly and the late Marie G. “Snookie” Anderson and Francis â€œFrank” A. Ciampi. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Michelle Consolo

Of Revere

Michelle L. Consolo of Revere passed away at home on December 29. She was 48 years old.

Born in Winthrop and a lifetime resident of Revere, she was the beloved daughter of the late Linda (O’Neill) and Steven Consolo,  the loving mother of Robert J. Marshall of Malden, Kayla Gullage of Revere and Justin Gullage of Wareham, dear sister of Nicole Marotta of Revere, Lisa Cusumano of Danvers and Lynda Consolo of Revere and cherished grandmother of Lola, Bobby and Julianna.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church on Saturday, January 15.

Marie Lentini

Longtime Seamstress at Yolanda’s Bridal Salon in Everett

Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, January 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) Revere for Marie A. (Taibi) Lentini, 94, who died on Friday, January 14 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen following a brief illness. A funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 22 at 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. At the family’s request, all attendees are asked to please wear face coverings and practice social distancing during services at the funeral home and at the church.

Marie was raised in Medford. The family later moved to Stoneham and Marie was educated in Stoneham schools. As a young woman, she went to work in several clothing factories as a seamstress. She was very talented and produced excellent work. Marie’s work ethic was instilled in her as a young woman. She worked for over 30 years at the Baron Abrahamson Co. and later worked alongside her sister, Yolanda, at her Bridal Salon in Everett. Family was the center of her heart and what was truly most important to her.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Benedict C. “Ben” Lentini, loving mother of Margaret M. Lentini–Cook and her late husband, Terry of Atkinson, NH and Paula A. Lentini–Delmonte and her husband, James of Methuen; cherished grandmother of Atty. Nicole M. Cook–Gallant and her husband, Christopher of Atkinson, NH, Justin C. Cook and his fiancé, Andrea Gallego of Andover, Michael J. Delmonte of Methuen and Matthew P. Delmonte and his fiancé, Jamie Raccosta of Worcester; adored great grandmother of Aidan Cook, Madelynn Cook, Charlotte Gallant and Jackson Gallant; dear sister of the late Joseph A. “Jay” Taibi, Rose Fucillo, Caterina DeVito, Josephine DiClemente, Angelina D’Avolio, Elizabeth Bartolo, Frances Perkins and Yolanda Fucaloro. She is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-law, Loretta Taibi of Revere and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Toni Ann DiNanno

Nothing Was More Important to Her than Her Three Children

A Private Funeral Mass was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church for Toni Ann DiNanno who died on Sunday, January 9 at the CHA – Everett Hospital, due to complications from COVID-19. She was 46 years old.

Toni was a lifelong Revere resident and a  proud graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1993.

Toni was the devoted mother of her three children, nothing was more important to her than her children. She was a very active mother and was always present for any event in which they were involved. She was most proud of her children and wanted to see them excel in everything they did.

She worked various jobs throughout her life to provide for them. She worked at Bianchi’s Pizza on Revere Beach for many years as a “pizza maker” and she also drove a taxi for a period as well. Her most recent job was as a Personal Care Assistant for over a year. Family was paramount to Toni, it was what was most important to her and she cherished them.

She was the loving mother of Gregory M. Badolato and his companion, Jenna Maglio of Waltham, Gianni S. Badolato and Giabella V. Badolato, both of Revere. She was the longtime companion of Allen R. Johnson of Revere, beloved daughter of the late Deborah M. Badolato and Richard DiNanno; treasured sister of Tiffany M. Stec and her husband, Ryan of Lynnfield and Tiana M. Badolato and her companion, Leo Tighe of Revere; cherished granddaughter of Vincella “Dolly” (DiLegro) Badolato of Lynnfield, formerly of Revere, and the late Gregory Badolato; special niece of Frank G. Badolato of Florence, AZ, John M. Badolato and his wife, Denise M. of Tewksbury, Denise A. Ferrara of Wakefield and Doreen M. Gordon and her husband, Matthew J. of Lynnfield. She is also lovingly survived by her nephews, Brayden W. and Bryce A. Stec and many loving cousins.

Samuel Russell Segee

Graduate of RHS, Class of 1955

Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, January 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere for Samuel Russell Segee, 84, who died on Sunday, January 16 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. All other Funeral Services will be held privately. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. 

Sam was born in Winthrop to Waldo H. and Helen E. (Spence) Segee and was a lifelong Revere resident. He was one of four boys. Sam was educated in Revere and was a proud graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1955. Sam enlisted in the United States Army on November 9, 1960, during the Vietnam Conflict and proudly served his country until November 3, 1962. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class.

When Sam returned home, he began working at the First National Grocery Stores. He worked there for 27 years as a Dairy Manager, until it closed in 1980. He then sought employment in the Commercial Cleaning Industry, in and around Boston. He did this type of work until his retirement.

Sam was an active man. He enjoyed long walks, daily exercise and was very conscious about his diet. He was a very regimented person. Sam enjoyed taking trips to the Casino. He enjoyed Mohegan Sun, as well as yearly trips with his brother Gene and sister-in-law, Jean to Las Vegas, New Orleans, the Bahamas and more recently, the Encore. Sam was also an avid golfer and for many years, he and his brothers met every Wednesday to play golf together.

He was the beloved son of the late Waldo H. Segee and Helen E. (Spence) Segee; the cherished brother of Richard I. Segee and his late wife, Marilyn of Revere, Eugene B. “Gene” Segee and his wife, Jean of Salem, NH and Ronald M. Segee, with whom he shared his Revere home. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
