With their pre-season at an end, the Revere High softball team and new head coach Joe Ciccarello were set to open their 2010 camÂpaign yesterday against forÂmer Greater Boston League rival Medford. One positive aspect the first-year coach has noted of his 2010 team is that he feels he has strong leadership in his senior class, led by captains Sara Selevitch, Paige Licata, and Jessica Simpson.
With their season-openÂer still more than a week away, members of the ReÂvere High baseball team will have plenty of opportuÂnity to impress head coach Joe Ranno as they seek to earn a spot on the varsity for the 2010 season. “This is the latest start we’ve ever had,†said Ranno. “We have four scrimmages scheduled before we open the season on April 15, so we’ll get a good look at everyone.â€
The Patriots will be led by a trio of captains, seÂniors Chris Adreani, JonÂathan Chiarelli, and Brian Robichaud, who are among seven seniors of the squad.
