Revere sports icon Mickey Casoli announced that he would not be holding his annual Thanksgiving Day Breakfast this year. The following is his letter:
“Happy Thanksgiving
The annual Thanksgiving Day Breakfast hosted by Mickey ‘Say No To Drugs’ Casoli, will not be held this year.
I want to apologize to all of the past and present female and male athletes and their families and friends who have come to this wonderful event that precedes the annual Revere-Winthrop football game, which will be played in Revere.
The game will be played at our new football stadium on November 26, 2015, at 10 a.m.
I want to thank all who helped me during the past years. I do not want to mention names, because there are so many volunteers and sponsors who donated their time or products to me.
Hopefully I will be ready next year. Again, I want to apologize!
