The Revere High boys track team rolled to its fifth straight victory with a 104-32 triumph over Lynn English last week.
Leading the way for Coach Jack Mosko’s squad were the trio of Devin Colon, Vito Licata, and Mike Fitzpatrick who each won two individual events. Devin captured the 400 meter dash in 55.2 and the long jump with a leap of 19-7. Fitzy took top honors in the 400 hurdles in 61.6 and the 800 meter run in 2:07.4. Vito doubled in the shotput with a toss of 40-8 and the discus with a throw of 115-3.
Individual winners abounded for the Patriots with Ernesto Bonilla taking the two mile run in 11:29; Brian Collins winning the mile in 5:13; Albion Lici capturing the 100 high hurdles in 18.3; Tarik Maddrey leaping to victory in the high jump in 5-7; Kyle Gotham triple jumping to a winning landing of 35-7.5; and Vin DiChiara tossing the javelin 116-10.
Karim Sahila added nine points to the Revere score sheet with three second place finishes in the 400 hurdles in 66.5, the 400 dash in 58.2, and the triple jump with a landing of 34-11. Other Patriots with second place efforts were: John DelloRusso in the two mile run in 11:37; Islam Douane in the mile run in 5:21.7; DiChiara in the 400 dash in 58.2; Breny Guzman in the 200 dash in 24.6; Ricardo Maldonado with a long jump of 17-2; and Joe Caruso with a discus toss of 109-2.
Patriots whose third place finishes contributed single points to the Revere cause were: Ben DiGiulio in the 400 hurdles; Kristi Nushi in the two mile in 12:07; Derek Fortuna in the 800 in 2:29; Maldonado in the 100 dash in 11.6; Rawlings Toglon in the mile in 5:32; Kane DiMasso in the 100 hurdles in 26.2; Kyle Gotham with a leap of 5-4 in the high jump; John Carnabucci in the triple jump with a 29-6.5; Jeff Simbert with a shotput toss of 36-11; Abdul Hamedeh with a discus twirl of 87-0; and Guzman with a javelin throw of 106-8. Gotham and Edgar Duran split a point with a third place tie in the 200 meter dash in 24.9.
