William ‘Bill” Levy

Retired salesman

William “Bill” Levy, 88, a longtime resident of the Jack Satter House in Revere and most recently of The Lafayette Rehab/Skilled Nursing in Marblehead, passed away on July 5.

Bill was the beloved husband of Dena Goodman Levy and the loving companion of Jean Figler.

A dedicated salesman, he made numerous contributions to the garment sales industry including his patented brand “Come on Strong.”

At age twenty, Bill became a “Big Brother” of Robert Brown and the two men kept in touch throughout Bill’s entire life.

Bill was the son of the late Philip Levy and Sarah (Lewis) Levy.

He was the dear brother of Dr. Roberta Levy Gantz, the late Burt (Dov) Levy and dear brother-in-law of Lisa Levy. Hel was the loving uncle of David Scott Gantz, Kimberly Levy Gantz, Elizabeth Levy, and the late Patty Levy Knickle. He was also the great uncle of Mickey, Jenny, and Emily and leaves beyond many dear friends and cousins.

A funeral service for Bill will be at Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington, Chelsea today, Wednesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. Interment in West Roxbury.
