Vincent John ‘Vinnie’ Dileone

Family Man, Amazing Father, Awesome Friend and Loving Husband

Vincent John “Vinnie” Dileone of Revere passed away on May 28 at the age of 35. 

Too many words to describe Vinnie.  He was loving, caring, loyal, generous and an amazing man that you would have ever come across.  VinFamily Man, Amazing Father, Awesome Friend and Loving Husbandnie was a family man and an amazing father, awesome friend and loving husband.  He held and carried his heart on his sleeve.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. 

Born in Boston on January 8, 1987 to his caring father, Gennaro Dileone and his late adoring mother Donna (Gentile), he is survived by his loving kids, Gemma and Jaidyn Dileone and his wife, Nichole Dileone.  He had a special bond with his nonni, Gina Gentile and he leaves his dear brother, John Dileone.  He was the cherished nephew of Mary-Jane Batchelder and Jim Maxwell, adored cousin of Ryan, Cassie and Robbie and is also survived by many friends. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St, Revere on Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m. (Everyone to meet directly at church).  Relatives and friends are kindly invited.  Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.  For guest book, please visit www.buonfiglio.com.

Steven Michael Pratt

Fan of Horse Racing and the Boston Bruins

Steven Michael Pratt of Revere died on June 2 at the age of 64. 

Steven grew up playing hockey and always remained a passionate fan of the Boston Bruins. He was also an avid horse racing fan. Steven will truly be missed.

The beloved son of Frederick Pratt and Elinor (Duffy), he was the dear brother of Frederick W. Pratt Jr. and his wife, Sonya of Saugus, loving uncle to Brian Pratt of Nashua, NH and the late Jeffrey Pratt and cherished cousin of Beth, Arthur, Joey and Wayne Duffy of Beachmont.

Marie Bibber

Former Resident of Revere and East Boston

Marie (Torredimare) Bibber of Chelmsford, formerly of Revere and East Boston, passed away weeks after her 95 birthday. 

Born in East Boston on May 16, 1927 to the late Frank and Adelaide (Faccadio) Torredimare, she was the beloved wife of the late Walter F. Bibber, devoted mother of Caroline F.  Bibber- Del Trecco and her husband, Mario Del Trecco of Chelmsford, cherished grandmother of Anthony W. Del Trecco and dear sister of the late Rose Nazzaro and Anthony Torredimare.  Marie is also survived by her loving niece, Mary Juliano and her husband, Roy of Saugus and their daughter, Laura Juliano of Lynn and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Her Funeral was held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Tuesday, June 7 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere.  Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.  For guest book, please visit www.buonfiglio.com.

Fred Mortali

Ford Motor Company Retiree

Fred C. Mortali of Revere died on June 4 at the age of 88. 

Born in Boston on June 21, 1933 and raised in Revere by his late parents, Charles Mortali and Tina (Alvino), Fred left Revere in the 1950’s and resided in Vermillion, Ohio for 28 years where he was employed by the Ford Motor Company.  Fred returned to his hometown, Revere in the 1980’s after retiring from Ford and he enjoyed travel and wood working. 

The beloved husband of 64 years to Alice (Farren), he was the devoted father of Frank Mortali and his wife, Nancy of Toledo, OH, Roseann Mortali and her husband, Patrick Fitzgerald of Laguna Niguel, CA, Jill Mortali and her husband, Chad Reed of Hanover, NH and Fred Mortali and his partner, Mandy Mitchell of Mandeville, LA; cherished grandfather of Daniel, Sean and Kevin Mortali, Robert Lee, Devin Reed, and Sydney Mortali and adored great grandfather of Aria, Chiara and Riley Mortali.  He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church, 250 Revere St., Revere on Monday, June 13 at 11 a.m. (Everyone to meet directly at the church).  Relatives and friends are kindly invited.  Interment at Holy Cross cemetery.

Frances Ferragamo

Worked With Her Late Husband at Coronet Studio of Photography

Frances E. (Merenda) Ferragamo of Revere died on June 1.

After raising her children, Frances worked alongside her husband for many years at Coronet Studio of Photography.

The beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Saddie (Frizzi) Merenda, she was the devoted wife of the late Anthony M. Ferragamo, loving mother of Ronald M. Ferragamo of Florida, Linda L. Ferragamo and her husband, Michael Simpson of New Hampshire, Diane M. Ferragamo and her husband, Mark S. Shaughnessy of Wakefield and Gary Ferragamo and his spouse, Julie of Revere; cherished grandmother of Jennifer L. Stewart and her husband, Doug Beltran and Amanda F. Carr and her husband, Patrick, all of New Hampshire, Kimberly M. Stewart and her husband, Roger Fernandes of Quincy and Anthony Ferragamo of Revere; great-grandmother of Nathaniel and Madeline Carr and Julian Fernandes and his soon to be sister, due in October; dear sister of Anne Bethune of Revere, Vicky Umanita of Bedford, Eleanor McHarg of North Reading and the late Marie Trinidad and William Merenda. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends, including her new friends from Colonial Gardens in Beverly where she recently made her residence.  Frances was especially fond of the staff as well as managers, Sam and Carrie.

John Marco

Retired USPS National Business Agent of New England, Former Member of Revere Moose and Rotary Club

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours today, Wednesday, June 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) Revere for John J. Marco of Revere who died peacefully with his devoted wife by his side on Sunday, June 5 at the Saugus Rehabilitation & Nursing Center following a long illness. He was 86 years old. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 12 Noon followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

John was born in Boston to his late parents, John and Virginia Marco. He was raised and educated in Charlestown and was a graduate of Charlestown High School, Class of 1954 where he also played varsity football. Following graduation, John enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for three years during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on October 11, 1957. 

John began to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Cooperative Taxation.  He worked there for several years, while awaiting a “Letter Carrier” position with the United States Postal Service in the Financial District in Boston.

John happily worked as a letter carrier, a job that really began to shape and change his life for the better. While he was delivering mail, he met the love of his life, Angelina Ragucci. She worked at a bank that was on his route, John would then take this beautiful woman out, they fell in love and were married on February 22, 1963.

Both John and Angelina made their home in Revere for over 40 years.

John was a very outgoing man who had a tremendous gift to talk with people but more importantly to listen to them as well.

He was elected to and became the National Business Agent of New England for the US Postal Service, a position John took with great pride and honor. He was all about workers rights and benefits. This position allowed John to travel the United States for meetings and conventions with his wife along with him. When John retired, he had provided a total of 35 years of service to the United States Postal Service and he was most proud of his tenure as National Business Agent.

John was an avid Patriots fan as well as a season ticket holder. He was a former member of the Revere Lodge Loyal Order of Moose #1272 and the Revere Rotary Club #2755.

The devoted and loving husband of 59 years to Angelina R. (Ragucci) Marco of Revere, he was the dear brother of Joseph Marco and his wife, Jeannette of Brookline, the cherished brother-in-law of Carmine Ragucci and his late wife, Maria of Maine, Theresa Sabbio and her husband, Frank and John Ragucci and his wife, Ann all of Florida, Robert S. Ragucci and his wife, Cristina of Lynn and the late Geraldine Romano and her former husband, Leo Romano of Florida.

He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. John also leaves behind many dear friends and respected colleagues.
