Memorable Moment: Boudreau Scores His First Varsity TD on a Pick-6

Revere junior linebacker Domenic Boudreau scored on a Pick-6 interception return and had the rare honor of his father, Donald Boudreau, calling the play [with Patrick Keefe] on the Revere TV broadcast.

“Domenic Boudreau with the Pick-6,” Mr. Boudreau announced enthusiastically from the press box.

Revere head coach Lou Cicatelli credited Boudreau for the defensive touchdown.

“Domenic had a great, great pick,” said  Cicatelli. “He was sitting there waiting for it for most of the game. For whatever reason, he kept flowing to the left and he intercepted the pass and ran it back for a TD. It was a great play for him.”

Boudreau explained how he came to be in perfect position for the interception and 32-yard return for a touchdown.

“They [Somerville] ran a motion across the play and I just read the motion and then I just picked him off and took it to the end zone,” said Boudreau. “I think I had a couple of Pick 6s in Pop Warner, but that was my first high school Pick 6.”

During the spring season, Boudreau, who is 5-foot-11, caught a varsity pass from his brother, Revere All-Scholastic quarterback Calvin Boudreau.

In addition to his role on defense, Domenic Boudreau is also the team’s long snapper on special teams. “Coach Vin [Gregorio] taught me,” said Boudreau. I just have to work on my spiral and getting the ball back faster to [holder] Anwar Marbouh.”

Boudreau is hoping that Revere can defeat Lynn Classical Friday and qualify for the playoffs. “It’s been a great season. I really like our team,” he said.
