Alice Williams
Revere native, resident of Chelsea and Florida
Alice L. (Upton) Williams died at the residence of her daughter, Sandra, where she has made her home for the past two years. She was 91 years old.
Alice was born and raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School in 1943. She married and raised her family in Revere for more than 40 years. They moved to Chelsea where they remained for about 10 years and where she and her late husband were very active in the Mill Hill Naturalization Club of Chelsea until 1996 when her beloved husband, Wilfred H. “Bill†Williams, Jr. passed unexpectedly on October 11, 1996.
In 1998, she moved to Florida with her daughter, Donna E. Williams and remained there until moving back to New England when Donna passed in 2015.
She was the devoted mother of Sandra E. “Sandy†Johnson and her husband, John E. of Melvin Village, NH, JoAnn A. Williams of Brattleboro, Vermont and the late Donna E. Williams; the dear sister of Lawrence Upton of Hallandale, Florida and the late: Robert F., John, William, Thomas and Edward Upton, Dorothy Cuningham and Marilyn Perry. She was the cherished grandmother to: Jennifer J. Bennett and her husband, Sean of Concord, NH, Jason J. Johnson and his wife, Courtney of Birmingham, Alabama, Matthew Flake of Everett, Jon W. Johnson and his wife, Jill of Avon, CT., Anna Quinn and her husband, John of Brattleboro, VT, Joshua W. Johnson and his wife, Meghan of Wolfboro, NH and Kelsey Carew of Queens, NY. She is also lovingly survived by 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

US Airways Flight Attendant
Judith A. Norris of Revere passed away on August 20 after a long illness.
A flight attendant for US Airways, she was the cherished daughter of the late Francis and Theresa (Nolan) Norris; dear sister of Linda McCann of Revere and her late
Husband, Michael, Richard Norris and his wife, Virginia of New Hampshire, Kenneth
and Joseph Norris, both of Revere and the late Frank, Judy, William and Theresa Norris. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Judith’s life by gathering at Vazza’s “Beechwood†Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere on Friday,
August 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Saturday morning at 10:30 before leaving in procession to the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her name at 11:30 a.m. Committal will be held privately. At the family’s request, please

Pellegrino ‘Bill’ Pepicelli
Former proprietor of Pepicelli Fuel Service
Pellegrino A. “Bill” Pepicelli of Revere, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family
The former proprietor of Pepicelli Fuel Service, he was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
The beloved husband for more than 63 years of  Margherita “Rita” (Parrella) Pepicelli, he was the devoted father of Annette Forcellati and her husband, John of Revere, dear brother of the late Francis and his surviving wife, Rosemarie, the late Anthony and his late wife, JoAnn and the late Joseph Pepicelli and the cherished grandfather of Vittorio and William. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Bill’s life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston today, Wednesday, August 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to St. Anthony’s Church, Revere Street, Revere for a Funeral Mass celebrating Bill’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Bill being laid to rest in chapel mausoleum Holy Cross Cemetery. Margaret Rizzo
Owned and operated “Ernie’s Pizza and Take Out Service†with her late husband
Funeral services and interment at Woodlawn Cemetery were held on August 14 for Margaret (Nazzaro) Rizzo who died on August 9 at Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere following a brief illness. She was 97 years old.
Born, raised and a lifelong resident of Revere, she was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1938. She and her late husband, Ernest M. Rizzo, owned and operated “Ernie’s Pizza and Take Out Service†on Mountain Avenue for almost 30 years. Prior to operating in Revere, the couple owned and operated a restaurant in Dorchester for more than 10 years.
The beloved wife of Ernie who died on September 22, 2012, she was the devoted mother of Ernest W. Rizzo, Jr. of Windham, NH and Judith A. Correggio and her husband, Richard of Revere; the adored grandmother of: Gina M. Regitano and her husband, Richard of Lynnfield and Nicholas R. Correggio and his wife, Roseanna of Revere. She is also lovingly survived by her two great grandchildren: Adriana M. and Marco F. Regitano and by many cherished nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the dear sister of the late: Gertrude Scenna and her late husband, Nicholas, Nellie Connery and her late husband, Francis, Laura Saia and her late husband, Benjamin and Michael Nazzaro and his late wife, Patricia.

Of Revere
JoAnne O’Brien of Revere passed away on August 18 at the age of 70.
The cherished daughter of the late VD and Emily (Blengs) Carey, she was the loving mother of Kim Oliva and her husband, David of Revere; adored grandmother of Briana Swindle, Morgan Cline and Taylor Oliva.

Lifelong East Boston resident
Dolores Messina, a lifelong resident of East Boston, died on August 21 at the age of 90.
She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Messina; cherished mother of Kathy Messina of Malden and Steve Messina and his wife, Lydia Buechler of New York; dear sister of the late Ralph and Rosalie DeStefano and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
