COOL IT!

A Caruso Street woman was arrested on Saturday after a dispute with her tenant over an air conditioner got the wheels rolling on her car.

Around 2 p.m., the landlady was watching her tenant move out. The tenant and her brother removed the air conditioner out of the apartment and loaded it up in their vehicle. The landlady disputed the action, and said the a/c didn’t belong to them. It was part of the apartment.

The duo continued on though, loading it in the car and attempting to drive away. The landlady, however, got in her car and attempted to stop them from leaving by blocking them in. In the midst of that, she smashed into their vehicle.

Rosa LaFace, 63, of 62 Caruso St., was charged with assault and battery by a dangerous weapon and reckless operation.

 

WOMAN ASSAULTED

A disabled woman was assaulted by two men she was acquainted with on Wednesday, July 26, near the Northgate Mall.

The 22-year-old woman was assaulted by two males, a 22 and 23-year-old.

The men will be summonsed.

 

FOOT CHASE ENDS IN ARREST

A New Hampshire man was arrested on Wednesday, July 26, after he attempted to flee from police in the Shirley Avenue area.

An officer approached the man around 5:30 p.m. at the Revere Beach train station after watching him act suspiciously. The officer suspected drug activity and began speaking with the man. He asked him who he was with, and the man pointed out a woman the officers were familiar with.

“I’m with Mary,” said the man.

Only the woman wasn’t Mary.

The suspect began to become evasive and, suddenly, pushed the officer away and began to high-step his way up The Ave. Several units responded, and officers chased him up the street, apprehending him on Walnut Avenue.

The officer, however, broke his finger during the pursuit.

Shane Gallagher, 36, of Winchester, NH, was charged with fugitive from justice, warrants, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

 

 

YOUTHS CARRYING KNIVES

Police arrested two youths who were found jumping fences in the Payson Street area late on Friday night, and two were armed with a knife.

Around 11:30 p.m., police responded to the area and found several youths jumping fences. Two of the youths were stopped and both were arrested.

Both were armed with a knife.

Carlos Francisco, 19, of Allston, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and violating the knife ordinance.

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with violating the knife ordinance.

BEER IN THE CAR

Revere Police have arrested a Peabody teen for causing a car accident, and having an open container of beer in the car early in the morning on Sunday, July 30.

Around 2:30 a.m., police were called to the scene for an accident where a vehicle struck another car in the rear. Police investigated and found the operator was unlicensed and had an open beer in the car.

John Medina, 18, of Peabody, was charged with being a minor transporting alcohol.

MONDAY, JULY 24

David Castro, 30, of 30 Florence Ave., was arrested on charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, strangulation, assault & battery in a domestic situation, intimidation of a witness, and malicious destruction of property under $250.

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 26

David Goodrich, 59, of Boston, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Shane Gallagher, 36, of Winchester, N.H., was arrested on an outstanding warrant and on charges of being a fugitive from justice, assault and battery upon a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

 

THURSDAY, JULY 27

Bernard A. Arciero, 58, of Chelsea, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 28

Cesar Moreno, 34, of 64 Beachland Ave., was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Laura P. Baum, 31, of Everett, was arrested on six outstanding warrants.

Carlos Francisco, 19, of Allston, was arrested on charges of illegal possession of a knife in violation of the city ordinance and carrying a dangerous weapon.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 29

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on charges of two counts of assault and battery upon a police officer.

Tracy N. Morrell, 34, of Malden, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.

Saad Hamid Al-Murshidly, 54, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of violating a domestic abuse prevention order pursuant to c. 209A and making a threat to commit a crime.

Rosa LaFace, 63, of 62 Caruso St., was arrested on charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.

 

SUNDAY, JULY 30

John F. Medina, 18, of Peabody, was arrested on a charge of being a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage.

Keith S. Chandler, 36, of Lynn, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and on a charge of operating a motor vehicle after his right to operate had been suspended.   He also was cited for the civil motor vehicle infraction of speeding.

Jeffrey A. Gaudette, 24, of 64 Pemberton St., was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.
