MARROW DONOR REGISTRY AT RPD

The Revere Police Department will hold a Marrow Donor Registry Drive on Wednesday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Station, 400 Parkway.

The registry is open to those ages 18-44, and will help young people with diseases like leukemia that are looking for a bone marrow/stem cell match. There is a one if 500 chance that one could be a match for someone in need.

ROAD RAGE

A Malden man has been charged with assault in a road rage incident that allegedly had him pulling a BB gun on another motorist.

On Tuesday, May 23, around 11 a.m., police were called to Charger Street where a road rage incident was taking place.

A man had allegedly gotten into an argument with another driver and had pulled a BB gun out of his car as he confronted the other driver.

Police found the suspect’s vehicle was not registered or insured.

Jared Spera, 20, of Malden, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating an uninsured vehicle.

 

DISPUTE LEADS TO ASSAULT

An argument between two women resulted in police officers being assaulted on Wednesday, May 24.

A woman and her girlfriend were in a dispute about going out to get some items around 7 p.m. After they left, the argument escalated and the victim called police.

Police responded and found that the suspect had outstanding warrants.

That led to a lot of screaming and fighting with the police.

The woman eventually had to be taken down and handcuffed.

Samantha Ney, 25, of 31 Elmwood St., was charged with resisting arrest, being a disorderly person, two warrants and two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

MONDAY, MAY 22

Jacqueline Reyes, 30, of 15 Parkside Place, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and on a charge of assault & battery in a domestic situation.

 

TUESDAY, MAY 23

Jared W. Spera, 20, of Malden, was arrested on charges of assault by means of a dangerous weapon on a person over the age of 60 and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He also was cited for the civil motor vehicle infraction of operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Lonnie E. Jones, 51, of Nashua, N.H., was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

 

WEDNESDAY, MAY 24

Anthony S. Esposito, 76, of 45 Dolphin Ave., was arrested on charges of violating a harassment prevention restraining order pursuant to c. 258E, criminal harassment, and making a threat to commit a crime.

 

Carmen A. Colella, 30, of 8 Payson St., was arrested on a charge of assault & battery.

Samantha A. Ney, 25, of 31 Elmwood St., was arrested on two outstanding warrants and on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct,  and two counts of assault & battery upon a police officer.

 

THURSDAY, MAY 25

Shawn T. Murphy, 36, of 17 Walden St., was arrested on a charge of assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
