As winter break begins and the holidays come to an end, college application deadlines quickly approach for many seniors in high school.  Four years ago at Lowell High School, Ms. Tiffany Currie began the Massachusetts College Application Celebration with the objective of giving students a plan in place to proceed in higher education as well as encouragement from classmates and faculty.

When College, Careers and ELO Coordinator Ms. Currie transferred to Revere High School, she brought the tradition with her. For the first time ever, Revere High School hosted the event on December 20, inviting five colleges and universities across Massachusetts to assist over 125 students with the application process.

Community colleges including Northshore, Bunker Hill and Mass Bay awarded acceptances on the spot to students that came with their transcripts. Gissel
