Paul Cipoletta

Of East Boston, formerly of the North End

Paul N. Cipoletta of East Boston, formerly of the North End of Boston, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 18.

He was the father of Michael and Paul Coyne; son of the late Anthony and Jennie (Fimiani) Cipoletta; brother of Anthony and his wife, Barbara, Gracie, Joseph and his wife, Denise, Gerald Cipoletta, and Marie DiMichael and her husband, Joseph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to a celebration of Paul’s life on Saturday, October 1 at 10 a.m. in Saint Anthony’s Church, Revere Street, Revere. In honor of Paul’s life, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Center for Childhood Liver Disease, Care of Boston Children’s Hospital, Attention Doctor Maureen Jonas. Marie Vajao

Devoted wife, mother, grandmother; devout Catholic, member of St. Mary’s Women’s Club

Marie B. (Teixeira) Vajao of Revere died on September 24.

Marie was a devout Catholic and a member of the St Mary’s Women’s Club. She worked for many years at Sears and Sparks as a sales clerk.  Marie would do anything for her family and enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.  Her passion was cooking and baking for her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

The beloved wife of the late George Vajao, she was the cherished mother of Judith and her late husband, Lee Zolla of Revere, Linda McElwaney and her husband, Donald of Saugus, Lisa Spinelli and her husband, Donald of Chester NH, and George Vajao and his wife, Elaine of Revere; dear sister of the late Emily Rose Feola; loving grandmother of Leanne Stamatopoulos, Christopher and Michael Zolla, Caitlin McElwaney, Jennifer, Donald Jorge, and Alexander Spinelli and Jared and Julia Vajao and devoted great grandmother to Bella, Gemma, Kosta, Alanna, Leo, and Michael James.

Her Funeral will be from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere on Thursday, September 29 at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary of The Assumption Parish at 9 a.m.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Arnita Mongiovi

Long time Federal Government Analyst

Arnita Mongiovi of Revere died on September 26.

Arnita was a long time analyst for the Federal Government in Washington DC.  She enjoyed the theater and arts and was a member of the Friends of The Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts in Washington DC and the Metropolitan Opera Guild.

The loving daughter of the late Arnold and Anita (Sciarappa) Mongiovi, she was the devoted  sister of the late Arnold Mongiovi Jr.; beloved aunt of Anna Marie Mongiovi and her great nephew Jacob Sanchez of Texas; cherished cousin of Linda Fisher and dear friend of Paul Buonfiglio III.  She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St Anthony’s Church on Friday, September 30 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

     Frank Durante

Of East Boston

Frank A. Durante of East Boston passed away on September 26. He was 89 years old.

The cherished son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Doria) Durante, he was the loving brother of Marie Gulla of Florida and her late husband, Frank Gulla, Joseph Durante and his wife, Janice of Saugus and the late Clara Cino and Salvatore Durante and his wife, Evelyn.  Frank is also survived by his brother-in-law, William Cino and by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will honor Frank’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. Revere on Thursday, September 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 830 a.m. Friday before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church in East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.  For guest book and directions: www.vazzafunerals.com
