Friday Night Lights A Big Game At the Stadium

Revere High school football coach Lou Cicatelli had a good feeling about the 2015 football season and he’s been right on the mark in his assessment.

The Revere football team has a perfect 3-0 record to-date with wins over former Greater Boston League rivals Medford and Chelsea and Northeastern Conference school Lynn Classical.

Friday night Revere plays one of its biggest games in years when the powerful Gloucester Fishermen come to the brand new Harry Della Russo Stadium on Park Avenue.

High school football still holds a special place in the hearts of sports fans, especially in football hotbeds like Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California.

In Revere, the Pop Warner football and cheerleading organization has remained one of the best in eastern Massachusetts. Many of the current RHS football players and cheerleaders are graduates of Revere Pop Warner and the high school program is enjoying this valuable feeder system.

Having played the game of football competitively, Lou Cicatelli understands the pride and sacrifice that goes in to preparing for games each week.

We know Lou and his coaching staff would like nothing better than for his players to experience the joy of winning a conference championship and competing in the playoffs. The Patriots can take an important step toward that goal with a victory over Gloucester.

Something special is happening in the Revere football program this season and we encourage Revere residents to see for themselves this Friday night at what we hope will be a crowded Harry Della Russo Stadium.
