Dedication Ceremonies At New Stadium

If Mother Nature cooperates and delivers a beautiful late-summer evening, then the dedication ceremonies for the new Harry Della Russo Stadium – scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11 – should result in one of the largest crowds in years in attendance at a local event.

Mayor Dan Rizzo will lead the dedication of the new field before the Medford-Revere football season opener that is scheduled for that night.

This year’s RHS football team led by coach Lou Cicatelli is regarded as a contender for the league championship and a playoff berth and that will only add to the excitement of the Sept. 11 grand opening.

We expect to see numerous Revere Pop Warner football coaches, football, cheerleaders, and parents on hand for the ceremony. Revere Pop Warner, with its reigning national champion cheerleading teams, will begin hosting its home game at the stadium for the 2015 season and that will only boost an already strong organization.

The stadium is already open for the use of residents and we hope the community will be a part of this glorious ceremony that will usher in a new era for Revere athletics.
