Monday was a day to solemnly remember and a day to celebrate the sacrifice of the men and women in the armed forces. In Revere, festivities kicked off at 11 a.m. with remarks from elected officials, singing from several local youth groups and the annual reading of the war dead – from Colonial times to the present. the Whelan School Choir, including Kayla Martelli (right), sing ‘God Bless America.’
