Rizzo to Deliver State of the City

Mayor Dan Rizzo will deliver the 2015 State of the City address on Monday Jan. 5 at 6:30 p.m., immediately following the City Council organizational meeting in the City Council Chambers at Revere City Hall.

In the annual address to the public, Mayor Rizzo will review last year’s accomplishments and share his vision for the future.

Over the past year Mayor Rizzo has diligently worked to prioritize public education, neighborhood safety, and economic revitalization. The Revere Public School System continues to meet the needs of a growing community through innovation, collaboration, and technological advancements. The past several years have also seen an incremental decrease in both Police and Fire emergency response times as well as an overall decrease in crimes across the board based on statistics gathered over the past three years. Mayor Rizzo also continues to prioritize his aggressive approach towards attracting and encouraging private investment in order to create a stable local economy.

Revere TV will be airing the speech live on channel 9 for any residents who are unable to attend in person. A text version of the speech will also be available following the presentation at: http://www.revere.org/news.

“The opportunity to deliver the annual State of the City Address continues to be one of the highlights of each year for both myself and members of my administration,” said Rizzo. “We have been through a lot, particularly during this past year. However, we have much to be thankful for. I hope that residents will either come to the presentation at City Hall, tune into Revere TV to watch, or read the text of the full speech on our website.”
