Happy Rosh Hashanah

We want to extend our very best wishes for a Happy Rosh Hashanah to our friends of the Jewish faith. The Jewish New Year 5775 begins at sundown Wednesday.

We want to thank two houses of worship, Temple B’Nai Israel and Temple Tifereth Israel, for being outstanding contributors to the Revere community throughout their long and successful histories.

At this time we also fondly remember the former Jewish Community Center, known widely as the Revere JCC, on Nahant Avenue where families would gather regularly for social events, educational programs, after-school activities, and athletic competitions.

Though the number of Jewish residents has dwindled in Revere, we’re pleased that the congregations continue to maintain a visible and vibrant presence in our city and provide a wonderful environment for worship, social events, and celebrations such as bar mitzvahs and weddings.

Their strength and energy as a congregation is a tribute to the temple’s officers and spiritual leaders and we welcome the opportunity to wish them a joyous New Year and a bright future.
