In the  photo Beachmont VFW member John Floyd looks for the name of a friend who went to Vietnam and never came back. Floyd recalled that he was nervous about being drafted for Vietnam while in high school, but never got called up. His friend did, and paid the ultimate price. “I’m here to find my friend,†said Floyd.
Floyd and hundreds of others recalled such events last weekend during the travelling ‘Wall That Heals’ Vietnam veterans memorial and museum stationed at Frederick’s Park.
