John J. Lovetere, Jr. of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on Decemer 21 following a long illness.
A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the former proprietor of Angelo’s Gulf Station of Winthrop for over 20 years and a retiree of the Chelsea Office of the Food & Drug Administration.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years of Audrey E. (Fogarty); devoted father of Joyce J. Misci and her husband, John and Elizabeth A. Pesce, all of Revere; devoted grandfather of: Melyssa J. Perkins and her husband, Jamie of West Peabody, Bryan A. Misci and his wife, Kim of Lynn, Krystin L. and Adam M. Misci and Tyla Elizabeth Pesce, all of Revere; dear brother of Joseph Lovetere and his wife, Rose of Brockton, Francis Lovetere and his wife, Joanne, Charles Lovetere and his wife, Charlene, James Lovetere and Jimmy, Thomas Lovetere and his wife, Donna, all of Florida and the late Angelo Lovetere. Ruth M. (Perry) Lanzillo, a lifelong resident of Chelsea, died on December 23 at the Chelsea Skilled Nursing and Rehab. Â She was 83 years old.
During her working years, she was employed by J.J. Newbury, as a labeler for Modine Paint, an assembler for Deneral Electric and at Gorins Meat, both in East Boston.
She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Lanzillo; beloved mother of Richard Lanzillo of Florida, Denise Domelowicz of Peabody, Robert Lanzillo and his wife, Catherine of Chelsea, James Lanzillo and his wife, Tara of Revere and Paul Lanzillo and his wife, Debra of Saugus; sister of the late Donalda, Joseph and Lillian; cherished grandmother of Paul, Stephen, Kimberly, Kelly, Christopher, Kristen, Richard and Derek and great grandmother of Aundraya, Nevaeh, Amaya and the late Arianna. She is also lovingly survived by her niece, Doris Sullivan and her husband, Larry of Melrose as well as by  many nieces and nephews.

Pearl M. (Bezirgian) Scrivano of Chelsea died on December 21 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home where she had been receiving supportive care since January of 2007. She was 86 years old.
For over 20 years, she was employed by the Massachusetts General Hospital on Bellingham Street.
She was the devoted wife of 43 years to the late John B. Scrivano; beloved mother of Toni Cronin of Revere, John A. Lisa R. Frauton died unexpectedly at her Revere home on December 16. She was 54 years old.
Born in Boston and a lifelong resident of Revere, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Diana (Montanaro) Frauton. A Revere High School graduate, she worked for many years a telemarketer for the banking industry.
She is survived by a sister, Michele Doyle and her husband, Bill of Newmarket, NH and a brother, Dana Frauton of Newmarket, NH.  She was the aunt of Danielle, Dana Jr., Montana and Joseph; the niece of Joan DeNorfrio of Revere and cousin of Michael, Robert and David DeNofrio. She is also survived by her dear friend, Donna Adkerson of Revere.

Phyllis M. (Frederico) Erickson of Orient Heights East Boston died on December 21 at the Kaplan Family Hospice of Danvers following a long and valiant battle with ovarian cancer. She was 77 years old.
Born and raised in East Boston and a 1953 graduate of East Boston High School, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. Frederico and Esther (Schiavo) Frederico. While her dad was a patient at the Don Orione Nursing Home, she became involved with the volunteer services at Don Orione and subsequently worked at the Gift Shop for several years.
The wife of the late William F. Erickson who died in October of 2004, she was the devoted mother of Esta A. Panora of Orient Heights, East Boston and Steven E. Panora and his wife, Carol of Malden; cherished grandmother of Stephanie Panora and Jamie Goad; dear sister of Connie Surette of Beverly and is also lovingly survived by Jennifer Hovey and her husband, Phillip of Andover, CT; her great grandson, Vincent; her longtime devoted friend, Albano Tassinari of East Boston; several caring nieces, nephews and faithful friends.

John Joseph Harrington of Revere passed away on December 18 with his loving wife Maureen (Brown) by his side. He was 73 years old.
He was born in Chelsea and was a 1957 graduate of Everett Trade School. He worked in electronic equipment and supplies throughout his life until retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children: Susan (Harrington) Champigny of Tewksbury, Kristen DeAngelis and her husband, Salvatore of Revere, Jaclyn Harrington of Worcester and Lauren Harrington of Revere. He was the beloved brother of Janice Harrington of Vero Beach, FL. Mildred Carafa and his brother in-law Edmund Carafa Jr. of Revere, Paul Harrington and his sister in-law Maureen of Wakefield. He was the loving grandfather of Nicole Champigny, Michelle McKenney, and Garrett McNulty, Francesca and Salvatore DeAngelis, Tayla and Jerimy Warren, Skylar and Ella, Heather and Mark Stanley and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Robert Mercier
Senior Center Bowler and Bocce League Member; Church Lector
Robert E. Mercier of Beachmont died on December 20 at the Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 80 years old.
Born and raised in Lawrence, the son of the late Albert and Loret (Levesque) Mercier, he was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked for many years as a sales representative for the home fuel industry. A resident of Beachmont-Revere for the past 33 years, he was a lector at the former Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Revere and presently at Immaculate Conception Church in Revere. Mr. Mercier was a member of the Revere Senior Bowling League, bowling at Lucky Strikes Lanes, and played bocce at the Revere Senior Center.
In addition to his wife, Carmela (Ferraro) Mercier, he is survived by four children: Lea Simard and her husband, John of Peabody, Patricia McGrath and her husband, Kevin of New York, Michael Mercier and his wife, Dawn of Hopkinton and Guy Mercier and his wife, Brandy of New Hampshire. He was the step-father of Rosemary Ferraro and her companion, Don Jacobs of Saugus, Ralph Carpinelli and his wife, Carla of Peabody, Jim Carpinelli and his wife, Cecilia of Revere and the grandfather of 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
