The results of an audit of the use of city bought and paid for gasoline reveals that the system registering the consumption of gasoline was insufficient, with use something in the range of 35,000 gallons.
However, and this is exclusive, when auditor’s don’t find glaring illegalities in a city audit they don’t forward their results to law enforcement authorities. In other words, the audit results are benign even though others in this city think they are like finding the Holy Grail.
Again, if theft was the obvious result of the audit, law enforcement officials would have been notified.
The audit shows that everything about record keeping and systems at the city yard at the time the audit was done were skewered – but that’s it.
