Last Saturday was All Abilities Day on Revere Beach. This annual event is a great opportunity for people of all abilities to get into the waters of the 1 public beach in America. The site at the Oak Island Bath House was the chosen area for the event, having public bath facilities at the ready and an easy access on to the sand, leading to the water. This pathway was covered, allowing wheelchairs, and other assisted devices access to the beach area.
Early registration was not required to attend, but it was to get lunch that was provided by the commission. Commissioner Ralph DeCicco and his staff were greeting their guests and local elected officials, and music was supplied by DJ Rick Freni.
