Albert Grieco
July 25, 1957 — June 30, 2025
Albert Grieco, affectionately known as “The Geik,” was born on July 25, 1957 at St Maragret’s Hospital in Boston, He was a lifelong resident of Revere. He will be remembered as generous, supportive, funny, and dependable to his family and friends.
Albert graduated from Revere High School in 1975 and spent his career working as a technician for the local phone company. He had a great sense of humor and a way of making everyday moments more fun. Whether he was drumming with The Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, taking many walks with his nephew, Giancarlo and sister, Linda, or attending his nephews’ football games and bowling matches throughout the years, Albert enjoyed being involved and supportive. He was incredibly proud to be an uncle and was a constant in his nephews’ lives.
He also took part in a Candlepin Bowling league, where he enjoyed both the game and the camaraderie. He loved being outdoors and was always up for a coyote walk—even if he came back with stories more than sightings. Above all, Albert valued his time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Pani and her husband, Salvatore of Revere; his nephews; Corrado Pani and his wife, Kathy and Giancarlo Pani of The Revere Fire Department; he is also survived by close family friend, Scott D’Errico, who was like another nephew to him. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Ida Grieco.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 6 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m., followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Anthony Gizzi
His positive attitude always shone through the most difficult days
Anthony Gizzi passed away peacefully on June 27 surrounded by his beloved family. Born on January 20, 1959, Anthony courageously battled a multitude of health issues without a single complaint. His positive attitude always shone through the most difficult days he faced. Anthony is best known for his infectious laugh and humor, which was felt by all who interacted with him. He is often described as an incredibly giving person who always considered other’s needs over his own.
His childhood years were spent with family trips in the RV, the neighborhood kids, and his regular paper route. He graduated Revere High School in 1978. He went on to continue his education at Bunker Hill Community College, where he took a wide range of classes that aligned to his interests, including culinary arts and computer science. Later on, Anthony worked as a masonry contractor and then at Marriott in flight services at Logan Airport. After his father, Antonio passed, he stood steadfast by the side of his mother, Carmela, for the remainder of her life. He cared for her with an immense amount of love and admiration tending to her every need.
Anthony was an avid music lover. He would often attend various concerts from many music genres and he collected CDs. Anthony is also best known for his love of food and cooking. He carefully curated the famous “Ma’s Cookbook,” where he recorded all his mother’s famous recipes to be recreated by the generations to follow. Today, “Ma’s Cookbook” sits in the kitchen of every sibling, niece and nephew of Anthony and will continue to be passed down to preserve the Gizzi family history through cooking.
Anthony was predeceased by his brother, Domenic and sister, Maria. He is survived by his two brothers, Marc and his wife, Mina and Christopher and his wife, Linda and his sister-in-law, Micky Gizzi and brother-in-law, Danny Charles. He was a devoted uncle to: Domenic, Jihan, Joelle, Danny, Marcus, Bianca, Evana, Lia, Christopher, Christina, Chloe and to many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends attended visiting hours on Tuesday, July 1 at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere. Funeral Services will be held today, Wednesday, July 2 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St, Revere, Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Massachusetts General Department of Nursing and Patient Care (linked below). Through his various health issues, Anthony always spent a great deal of time at Massachusetts General Hospital and one of the main reasons he was able to remain so positive is due to the tireless efforts of the nursing staff and medical teams.
