Lawrence B. Mundy, Jr.

Of North Reading, formerly of Revere

 Lawrence B. Mundy, Jr., 94, of North Reading and formerly of Revere, passed away at his home on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Born in Medford on April 20,1930, he was the son of the late Lawrence B. Mundy, Sr. and Charlotte (Russell) Mundy. He was raised and attended school in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School and Butera School of Art in Boston.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict; he was a Corporal and served from 1951 to 1953.

Lawrence was an Electronic Technician for Brandeis University for many years. He was a jack of all trades as well as an incredible artist. He loved history and was fascinated by the American Civil War. He always stepped up to do what was right with integrity and had a strong sense of responsibility.

He enjoyed painting, Irish music, a Civil War Buff and was interested in Military History. His nickname was “Lefty” and he was a pitcher in semi pro baseball. He has been a resident of North Reading for the past 54 years.

Family members include his loving wife of 62 years, Rosary (Avola) Mundy; his sons, Lawrence James Mundy and his wife, Jill, James Mundy, Daniel Mundy and his wife, Sherri and William Mundy; daughters, Susan Mundy and Catherine Mundy; brothers, John Mundy and the late Paul Mundy; sisters,  Anne (Mundy) DeStefano and the late Charlotte (Mundy) Diaz; four grandchildren: Jodie Banks, Victoria Wellman, Sophia Brace Mundy and Raquel Brace Mundy and two great grandchildren, Jackson Banks and Lucian Wellman.

John Peter Jordan

Former Revere City Councilor and son of former Revere Mayor Peter J. Jordan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Peter Jordan, Born on June 27, 1942, in Revere,  John peacefully passed away on April 5, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was a long-time resident of Revere, formerly of Georgetown, and for the last nine years living in Quincy MA.

John graduated from Immaculate Conception High school, Class of 1960, where he was a standout football and basketball player and athlete. He went on to college at Worcester Academy and Arizona State where he also played Football. John was the son of the former Mayor of Revere, Peter J. Jordan. He was fortunate to share many special years with his partner, Lillian McGuirk-Graf, who survives him, as well as his extended family: Kristine McCarthy and her husband, Gerry of Chester, NH, Paul D. Graf and his wife, Laurie of Quincy and Brian J. Graf of Revere. His parents, Peter and Regina (Campbell) Jordan and Michael Jordan of Arizona preceded him in death.

John had a distinguished career as a State Appraiser for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the right of way division until his retirement. Not only did he serve his community through his work, but also served for city council from 1982-2003. He served as Ward 4 councilor and councilor at large and was elected two times by his colleagues to serve as president, a testament to his dedication and commitment to public service.

In his leisure time, John was an avid golfer and enjoyed socializing with his many friends, especially during his annual trip to Fort Lauderdale, FL. He also enjoyed his trips to Kennebunkport, ME, and the many memorable cookouts at the Point of Pines, Revere. John’s zest for life, commitment to his community, and unwavering friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere. Funeral Mass will follow at Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach street, Revere at 12 noon. Burial will be held privately.

Barbara “Bonnie” McInnis

A true Revere girl and humanitarian, her strength, devotion, caring and deep love for family will never be replaced

Barbara “Bonnie” McInnis of Revere entered into rest on Friday March 28, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She died peacefully surrounded by love and family.

Born on March 2, 1948, the middle daughter of late Peter McInnis

and Marguerite (Cronin) McInnis, she was a lifelong resident of Revere and attended Immaculate Conception School, graduating in1965.

Barbara, as she was known professionally, had a career focused on the travel industry. Her tenure at Eastern Airlines took her from Boston to New York and finally to Miami as a National Sales Representative. Returning to Boston, she began her career at Garber Travel retiring after more than 20 years as Vice President of Industry Relations. She was an international traveler who enjoyed sharing experiences from castles in England to ski lessons in Vail, and multiple trips to Paris.

Bonnie, as she was known to friends and family, was a true Revere girl. She was a strong, independent woman whose love of family knew no bounds. She relished her retirement which enabled her to spend more time with family, reading, gardening, baking cookies, Sunday dinners, and walking her dog.

A humanitarian, Bonnie was a fierce advocate for all animals. She had a passion for supporting and adopting rescue dogs. She instilled that compassion in her family and those who loved her. One of her legacies will be that generations of dogs have been saved, and future rescues will be saved by those she influenced.

Bonnie was a remarkable woman. If you were fortunate enough to call her family or friend, there was nothing she wouldn’t do for you. She made all our lives richer and more adventurous. Bonnie instilled in us a love of life and a sense of loyalty. Her strength, devotion, caring and deep love for family will never be replaced.?

Bonnie leaves her sisters, Joanna McInnis and her partner, Scott Lumsden and Ellen Rizzo and her husband, John of Revere; her niece, Lauren Nelson and her husband, Jamie of Revere and nephew, Michael Rizzo of Portland, Oregon and her cherished grandniece, Alana and adored grandnephew, Brady of Revere. She also leaves her faithful companion and rescue dog, Blue.

Funeral services will be held privately as requested by Bonnie.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by the nurses, doctors, and palliative care on Ellison 16 at Massachusetts General Hospital and the comforting solace provided by the Kaplan Hospice nurses and staff during Bonnie’s final days is greatly appreciated by her family.

Charles E. Kelley

Delta Airlines retiree, devoted Catholic and long time parishioner and custodian at St. Anthony’s Church

Family and friends attended visiting hours on Sunday April 6th at the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere, for Charles (“Charlie”) E. Kelley who died peacefully on Thursday, April 3rd, two weeks before

his 83rd birthday. His funeral was conducted from the funeral home on Monday, April 7th followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250

Revere St., Revere. Interment immediately followed with military honors at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

Charlie was born in Chelsea on April 19th, 1942. He was raised by his mother, Rose, along with his two brothers, Bobby and Henry in South Boston. After the sudden passing of his mother at the age of 13, he and his brothers were raised by his Aunt Sue in Revere. He became a Drummer in the I.C. Reveries Drum and Bugle Corps and graduated from Revere High School in 1961.

Following high school, Charlie enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, where he proudly served his country as a Russian morse code interceptor. He was honorably discharged after service to his country and returned home. He married the love of his life, Elinor L. McCarthy, on April 16, 1966. The couple remained in Revere, living in the Point of Pines where they raised their three children.

Charlie worked for Delta Airlines, first in the cargo section of the company at Boston Logan International Airport and later taking a position as a Reservationist. His career spanned 35 years before he retired. Charlie’s retirement led him to St. Anthony of Padua Church where he became the custodian for 17 years, a job he considered his most favorite! He was a faithful and devoted parishioner at St. Anthony’s. He took great pride in his duties at the church and the parishioners were like his family. Charlie was a very devoted Catholic and had a great deep-rooted faith, that he passed on to his children.

Charlie was an avid tennis player and loved shooting baskets (better than and with all the kids on Witherbee Ave, keeping him in better shape than most people half his age. He enjoyed reading everything there was about the Catholic religion and the Blessed Mother, attending daily Mass and overnight adoration (wherever it was held), and saying the Rosary. He loved practicing with his drumsticks and watching Jesus of Nazareth, the Lone Ranger, cowboy shows, and any Elvis movie. Above all, Charlie was a devoted husband and family man who exemplified his faith through love of God, family, and country.

He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Elinor L. (McCarthy) Kelley of Point of Pines Revere, the loving father of Susan Murray and her husband, Terry of Holbrook, Matthew Kelley and his wife, Harumi of Osaka, Japan and Mary Kelley and her partner, Brian Donnelly of Salem; the cherished grandfather of Kayleigh Knowles and her husband, Bryan of Wichita, Kansas, Liam Kelley of Okinawa, Japan, Jasmine Kelley and Colin Kelley of Osaka, Japan, and the late Margaret Anne Kelley; the adored great grandfather of Freya Leigh and the dear brother of the late Robert (“Bobby”) Kelley and Henry Kelley. He is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Carol Ann Reppucci

Of Peabody, formerly of Revere

Carol Ann (Marchand) Reppucci, 83, of Peabody, passed away Saturday evening April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Paul Reppucci, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Carol was born in Revere on October 16, 1941, daughter of the late Curtis and Marguerite (Fallstich) Marchand.  She grew up in Revere and graduated from Revere High School.

As a young woman, Carol worked at Hood’s Milk in Charlestown. Later in life she was employed by Sears & Robuck in Peabody and as a medical receptionist in Peabody.

She married Carl in 1961 and together they raised their family in Peabody. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Paul Reppucci, her brother, Curt Marchand and her sisters, Barbara (Marchand) Quigley, Jeannette (Marchand) Lehmann, and Marguerite (Marchand) Fothergill,

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Carl M. and Elisa Reppucci of North Andover and Diane C. and Theodore Argentieri of Needham; her grandchildren, Carl T. Reppucci and Aryana K. Reppucci; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
