Past Vice President of The San Rocco Society of Boston, she was a woman who treasured her family
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours today, Wednesday, March 19th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere for Regina (Leone) Gnerre who died peacefully at her home surrounded by the warmth and love of her family on Sunday, March 16th following a brief illness. She was 84 years old. Her Funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday March 20th beginning at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Regina was a native of San Nicola di Baronia Provence Avellino, Italy. She was born on August 5, 1940, to her late parents Giovanni Leone and Maria Filomena (Sciaraffa). Regina was one of eight children. She was raised and educated in Italy, before journeying to the United States when she was 15 years old settling in East Boston.
Regina worked as a seamstress for several years before marrying her husband, Antonio Gnerre on February 18, 1962 and immediately began a family.
In 1965, she and her husband moved to Revere. Regina took immense pride in her home and raising her children. She was a loving mother, and she enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She was a thoughtful, generous and kind soul, always taking time to call family and friends to say hello. Whatever she had, she was quick to share with others. Visits with her always ended with a “Thank you for coming” and a reminder to “be careful.”
Cooking was definitely one of her passions, especially her Sunday gravy. Regina was a woman who treasured her family and her grandchildren held a very extra special place in her heart.
Regina was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing many of her own fruits and vegetables, as well as tending to her flowers that she planted around her home. She was the past Vice President of The San Rocco Society of Boston.
The beloved wife of the late Antonio Gnerre of 35 years, she was the loving mother of Antonietta DeGloria and her late husband, Edward of Lynn, Louis Gnerre of Burlington, John Gnerre of Revere, Maria Gnerre and her fiancé, Arthur Pelton, also of Revere; the cherished mama nonna of Tyler Gnerre, Mikaila Gnerre, and Devin Gnerre; the dear sister of Carmela Favorito of Chelsea and the late Nicola Leone, Ubaldo Leone, Michael Leone, Carmen Leone, Benito Leone, and Mike Leone. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Louise Demetrio
Her family was always the center of her heart
Funeral Services and entombment were held privately on Saturday, March 15th at The Sheffield Community Mausoleum Building in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett for Louise M. (DeSimone) Demetrio who died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 11th, following a very brief Illness. She was 92 years old.
Louise was born in Chelsea on December 29, 1932, to her late parents, Louis DeSimone and Frances J. (Tomasello). She was one of ten children who were raised and educated in Chelsea. Louise was a proud graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1950. Later that year, she married her sweetheart, Joseph Demetrio.
Louise worked in retail for a brief time in Revere at Almy’s. She then took time to raise her three sons, which she took great pride and pleasure in doing.
When her children were of age, she later returned to the workforce in banking. She worked for many years at the Broadway Five, first as a teller, then working her way up to an operations manager. Her career at the bank spanned over 20 years. She retired and cared for her husband, Joe as his health declined.
Louise always remained fiercely independent and lived by her rules. She was still living on her own up until her final days. Her family was always the center of her heart, and spending time with them was her greatest joy in life.
The beloved wife of 63 years of the late Joseph F. Demetrio, she was the loving mother of Joseph S.Demetrio of Lynn, John Demetrio and wife, Carol of Tewksbury and Michael Demetrio of Dover, NH; the cherished Nonnie of Michael Demetrio and his wife, Iryna of Lynn and John Demetrio and his wife, Alexa of Londonderry, NH; the adored great Nonnie of Mia; the dear sister of Theresa Fiore of Revere and the late Tony DeSimone, Jennie Maccini, Evelyn DeNicola, Elizabeth Davidson, Sarah Wojciechowski, Joey Wojciechowski, Helen Lanni and Marciano DeSimone. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Carlo Pagliuca
Retired Postal Employee
Carlo Pagliuca of Revere entered into rest on December 8, 2024, at the youthful age of 82.
The beloved husband of Diana Pagliuca, he was the devoted father of John and daughter-in law, Jeanmarie Pagliuca and the late Jason Pagliuca; cherished grandfather of Dylan Pagliuca, the loving brother of Marie Blazo and family, dear son of the late Pasquale and Gilda Pagliuca and son- in-law of the late Peter and Anna Dippolito.
Carlo was born in Rome Italy and moved to the North End of Boston as a teenager. He graduated from the Latin School and attended classes at Wentworth College.
For 57 years, Carlo was a devoted husband and father raising a family in Revere while working for over 30 years as Postal Employee in Boston. Carlo loved all thing Boston sports, from the early days of watching the Bruins and Celtics in the original Boston Garden to enjoying the Patriots and Red Sox win multiple championships. He loved playing cards with his closest friends, traveling to New Jersey annually, attending youth hockey and baseball games and cherished time with his beloved dogs, Koko and Kay. He will be missed among many of his longtime friends and co-workers.
Visiting hours will be held at Buonfiglio Funeral Home in Revere on Thursday, March 20, at 11 a.m. followed by a Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere with interment at Puritan Lawn Cemetery located at 185 Lake St, Peabody, MA 01960.

Joseph Internicola
He lived a life marked by dedication and resilience
Joseph Internicola, 90, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Revere, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2025. He was born April 1, 1934 in Boston to the late Nicolo and Filomena (Correnti) Internicola.
After graduating Revere High School, Class of 1954, he enlisted in the military and became a US Air Force Veteran as a radio controller repairman. Joe lived a life marked by dedication and resilience. Whether in his professional endeavors or personal relationships, he was known for his steadfast nature and unwavering presence.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen Donovan Internicola, who adored him. They enjoyed many peaceful driving trips together when Joe wasn’t indulging in a round of golf! Joe is predeceased by his siblings, Anthony (Diane), Salvatore (Elaine), Betty Bacon, Ann (Arthur) Cafarella. He is also survived and loved by Stacey Bronsdon Rizzo, Susan McLellan Noble, Patricia Driscoll, Kelly Mattera, Wendy Hennessy, and Lori Cacciatore.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Joseph A. Santosuosso, Sr.
Of New Hampshire, formerly of Revere
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere, for Joseph A. Santosuosso, Sr., who passed away on March 13 at the age of 83. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, March 21, at 11 a.m., followed by entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Joseph was a native of Revere. He attended Everett Technical High School, where he later graduated. He worked for several years at Polaroid and also fulfilled his dream of opening his own company. His business focused on building homes and providing property management services. In the mid-1980s, he moved to Laconia, New Hampshire, where he resided for the remainder of his life.
The beloved father of Dean Santosuosso and his late wife, Marie, of Amesbury, and the late Joseph Santosuosso, Jr., he was the cherished grandfather of Sean and Dante and the great-grandfather of Autumn and Dean. He was the former husband of the late Janeen (Murphy) Santosuosso. Joseph is also the dear brother of Nancy E. Collins and her husband, Joseph and the late Albert C. Santosuosso, Christopher J. Santosuosso, Kathryn A. Santosuosso, and James Santosuosso. He is lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

LouAnn (Perullo) Stanton
Of Revere
LouAnn Stanton passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 24, 1955, in Revere, MA, to the late Charles and the late Lucy (Gato) Perullo.
LouAnn was a proud graduate of Revere High School’s Class of 1972, carrying the spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life. That same dedication and sense of community guided her 38-year career with the Department of Health.
LouAnn met the love of her life in 1983, her devoted husband, Chris Stanton, and together they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and adventure. She found joy in traveling with him, making memories in new places, and especially treasured their summers by the lake in Barnstead, New Hampshire, and their winters on the beach in Hollywood, Florida. LouAnn was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She shared a deep bond with all of her nieces and nephews, always offering a guiding hand, a listening ear, and a voice of reason.
LouAnn was the heart of every family gathering, bringing loved ones together with warmth, laughter, and a spirit that made every occasion feel special. Whether hosting cookouts, celebrating anniversaries, or making graduations unforgettable, she poured her heart into every moment, ensuring those around her felt valued and loved. She had a rare ability to turn simple gatherings into cherished memories, and her home was always a place of comfort, joy, and togetherness—a true reflection of the love she gave so freely.
LouAnn is survived by her beloved husband, Christopher Stanton of Melrose, her sister Mary O’Neil and her husband David of Bridgewater, and her brother Charles Perullo and his wife Joanne of Revere, MA, her brother-in-law Martin Stanton and his wife Eileen, sister-in-law Anne Stanton, brother-in-law Joe Stanton and his wife Charee all of Melrose, sister-in-law Catherine Stanton of Revere, brother-in-law Patrick Stanton of Salem, NH, brother-in-law Michael Stanton and his wife Deborah of Sandwich, and brother-in-law Mark Stanton of Melrose. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Mass Of Christian Burial was held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Herbert St, Melrose. Interment followed the mass at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.

Theresa Louise (Festa) Petrilli, of Winthrop, formerly of Revere, passed away on March 18, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 97. Born on February 28, 1928, to the late James Festa and Louise (Ladere). She was the beloved wife of the late Alberto M. Petrilli. Her commitment to her family was unparalleled. Theresa was a devoted mother to Al Petrilli and his partner, Heather Clucas of Winthrop and David Petrilli and his wife, Kathy of Saugus. Cherished grandmother of Albert Petrilli and his wife, Rachel of Winthrop, Marielle Petrilli and her fianc?, Nick Russo of Burlington and Olivia Petrilli of Saugus. Adored great-grandmother of Adelyn and Ava of Winthrop. Theresa was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Marie C. Petrilli; and her siblings, Florence Penachio, Louise Milano, Helen Toto, Mary Melchiono, Gerard Malio, Joseph Malio, William Malio, Anthony Festa and Joseph Festa. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends she loved to be with.
